Got a call from someone named Peter with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He told me my computer had some nasty malware and that I had to buy their antivirus software right away. I was pretty tired and nearly handed over my bank info without thinking. Luckily, I figured it out just before it was too late and hung up quick. Turns out, the bloke had locked my BIOS, and sorting that mess out cost me £40. Watch out for these sneaky scammers!

My 9-year-old granddaughter picked up the phone and the person on the other end just started abusing her. Honestly, I’m livid about it!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the main Microsoft server or something like that, it was pretty funny. They started telling me my PC had some virus warnings and asked if I'd noticed anything weird. I told them I don’t even own a computer, so that can’t be true. They just ended the call right after that.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who claimed he was Alex from some Microsoft service centre. He said my computer had a virus and asked me to get it so he could help fix it. I told him I couldn’t because I actually use Linux, not Windows. I played along for a bit and then suddenly he just hung up. These scammers are so annoying!

Total scam. Microsoft doesn’t ring up like that. They definitely don’t have any support centres in India that handle UK customers. If you get a call from some random company, just stop and ask yourself if you ever gave them your number? If you have, tell them to write you an email or send a letter, but don’t just hand over your address or email - they should already have that info. Watch out, folks, stay careful!

Got a call on my home phone from this number, with someone saying they were from Microsoft tech support. She asked me to turn on my computer so she could fix some issue. The first thing that made me suspicious was her strange accent and the way she described where she was working as some "Microsoft Support Centre." When I asked for proof or more details about who she really was, she just hung up and swore at me. Watch out, these fake callers - probably from India - are giving the country a bad rep.

I received a call from a chap named Ricky, who had quite a pronounced Asian accent. He claimed to be phoning from Windows UK, assuring me he had no intention of selling anything. Apparently, he had some alarming information regarding issues with my computer, sourced from their so-called global routing system. Naturally, I wasn’t buying into it at all, so I told him where to shove it, and then he promptly ended the call.

So I got a call from someone claiming to be from that posh ITV show "How to Steal Your Identity." The moment I asked who they were trying to contact, they immediately said they couldn't tell me because of data protection rules! Quite dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent who said he was from Windows support. I asked if I’d raised any issues recently, and he got proper narked straight away. Then when I asked what the whole point of the call was, he just hung up on me. Pretty clear he wasn’t interested in speaking to someone not falling for his scam!

Got a call earlier from these folks who said they were from Windows, sounded like they were from India. The woman started asking me loads of questions but I quickly said I wasn’t gonna let her mess with my computer. Then she just told me to shove my computer where the sun doesn’t shine. Honestly, made me laugh so much!

Received a call purporting to be from Microsoft Windows, which struck me as a rather peculiar way to reference their software. They were inquiring about my computer and making assertions about rogue software being installed. Truly bizarre, I must say. What’s even more curious is that the call originated from Spain. Quite the oddball situation, wouldn’t you agree?

So this bloke rings up saying he’s from Microsoft, had a bit of an Indian or Asian accent. I told him I’d call the police if he didn’t stop, and he just hung up straight away. Do Ofcom or anyone else actually do anything about these types and take them to court?

Somebody rang me up claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer had a virus. I played along at first, doing exactly what she told me until I sussed out it was a scam. Then she called me an idiot and just ended the call. Watch out, she tries to infect your PC and then wants cash to fix it.

some woman said she was from microsoft, said my windows had a virus. i told her i was actually spreading viruses to as many pcs as i could. she got totally confused, like it wasnt part of her script or something! then she threatened to send the police round to seize my computer if i didn’t listen. i said i was planning on buying a new pc anyway, so might as well just bin the old one myself. she didn’t say anything after that and hung up! clearly a dodgy call.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft, but they had a really strong foreign accent. She warned me that my computer was about to crash and said I needed to upgrade or I’d lose everything. What was weird is she never asked for me or my partner by our names, just kept going on.

Absolutely concur. This outfit reeks of a scam operation. I had a chat with an individual who had a distinctly Indian accent, and they claimed that my computer was on the verge of failure and required urgent assistance. They insisted they were representing Microsoft.

I received a call from a male with an accent, much like the one Lucy mentioned. He claimed that my emails were generating virus alerts and offered to assist in resolving the problem by gaining access to my computer remotely. When I proposed that he send me an email detailing the issue instead, he abruptly ended the call. Just a friendly heads-up - definitely a scam! Be careful!

This company is nothing short of a scam operation! I received a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming that my Windows computer was infested with malware and that she needed to guide me through the removal process. I told her I don’t own any Windows devices-which is a total fib on my part-and lo and behold, she hung up right away! It’s appalling how they attempt to swindle innocent folks. Steer clear of these con artists; it’s downright shameful!
