Over the last few days, I've had three calls from this number. They said my subscription would renew on its own, but if I wanted to stop it, I should press 1 to talk to a manager. It sounded fishy to me so I just hung up straight away.

I got this call today where some scammer used a robot voice saying my Amazon Prime subscription was about to renew. I do have an Amazon account, but I’m not signed up for Prime. The caller told me to press a button to cancel or speak to someone, but that just connects you to a fraudster who’ll try to get your bank details. Unfortunately, a mate of mine got caught out by this trick earlier. Just a heads up, Amazon won’t reach out like that. You can only subscribe or cancel Prime through their official site. If you’re unsure, have a quick look at your Amazon account directly.
