On 7th June 2024 at around 3:40 in the morning, I got a call from the number 1471 via BT. There was no voicemail or anything. Loads of people say this is a legit NSandI contact, but honestly, it felt like a spoof to me. NSandI wouldn’t ring up that early in the morning, plus I hadn’t logged into my account or anything around that time. If you see this caller ID and weren’t expecting a code or anything from NSandI, be careful - it might not be safe. I’ve got BT Call Protect set to block international calls, so this call was probably made within the UK.

No doubt about it, that's NS&I calling. I recently took money out and that number popped up when they rang me for the OTP. You can trust it’s legit. For the person saying they don’t own Premium Bonds, it’s probably just a mistake with the phone numbers getting crossed - it’s an easy error to make.
