I got a text that just said "CALL ME" along with a mobile number, but I didn't have anything to write it down with. When I tried ringing the number back, it didn't connect and just played a message without showing the actual number it came from. I'm glad though, because it definitely seemed like a scam. What’s weirder is that the message came through our landline. Then, later the same day, my mate got a similar “CALL ME” text on her phone, which apparently was sent from my mobile number - but I never sent it?! Really odd situation.

My home phone rang, and they left this automated message about some SMS services, giving different choices to pick from. When I checked the number via 1471, it showed 0333 3440000, which links to www.a2l.com/a2l.text. Turns out it’s a firm from Toulouse, France. Feels a bit dodgy to me. Honestly, I’m a bit worried that pressing any of these numbers might rack up some hidden fees on my phone bill - I’ve read a few stories online about this but not sure how true they are. I’ll keep an eye on my next bill to see if anything suspicious pops up.
