This caller was quite insistent and sounded like they were from overseas. There was this awkward silence before they started asking, "How are you today?" I ended up hanging up, but they rang me back three more times afterwards.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent saying my contract with Eon was up for renewal. When I said I wasn’t a customer of Eon, he kept insisting, “My screen shows you DO have an account with Eon.” Seemed like a total waste of time, or possibly a phishing attempt. Only problem, my landline number is registered with TPS and he just ignored that fact.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Scottish Power, trying to get me to switch providers... definitely felt like a phishing attempt.

I got a call from some bloke overseas saying he was from Eon because our contract was about to expire. After I said yes, he hooked me up with a “supervisor” who started telling me I had to renew the contract straight away. Thing is, we don’t even have a contract with Eon! I called him out and he swore it wasn’t a scam, suggesting maybe they’d just rung the wrong number since they never asked for any personal info. Funny enough, the number was from France, so maybe Eon’s moved their offices there or something.
