I got a call from 0033857414887, but it looks like it's too long to be from the UK. I’ve gone ahead and blocked all numbers starting with 003 since I don’t recognise any of them. If you’re using a call blocker, I’d recommend adding 003 to your list of blocked prefixes. This one definitely smelt like a scam trying to mess with bank details. Also, I’ve noticed a lot of dodgy calls coming from numbers starting with 003, 004, 011, and others like 0177 or 078 - so watch out, these seem to be mostly con artists.

Got a call from 0033658146359, but that number’s way too long to be from the UK. I’ve actually blocked all numbers beginning with 003 since I don’t recognise anyone with those codes. If your phone lets you block by area codes, definitely add 003 to that list. Feels like this one was some sort of bank scam. From my experience, calls starting with 003, 004, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 0177, 018, 019, 020, 028, 033, 073, 074, 075, 077, 078, and 079 often turn out to be dodgy.

I received a call from 0033641327651, which looked suspiciously long for a UK number. I figured it was best to block any numbers beginning with 003 since I don’t recognise anyone with these prefixes. Got a call earlier and the number showed up with a French international prefix. So, I replied in French, and after a bloke talked, a lady asked if I spoke English! I stuck to French then ended the call. Total tossers. I only picked up to suss if it was a con. Switched off the phone right after - what nasty lot, proper vile!

0033 672402 - I answered this number and asked who was calling, but the lady immediately put the phone down. In the background, I could hear a man’s voice as well. Although the number starts with 0033, suggesting it’s from France, the accent didn’t sound French at all - more like Asian? Whenever I get calls from numbers I don’t recognise, I always say “Who’s this please?” and they tend to just hang up right away. Definitely seems like a spam call, so be cautious if you see this one pop up!

I got a robo call from this number 0033615501026. They were saying someone tried to charge £640 on my VISA for flights from London to Mexico. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

I got a robo call from this number 0033663236076, they said they were from some "Bank Security Department". Apparently, my VISA card was supposedly used to buy rail tickets from London to Edinburgh worth £120. Total automated scam or something like that.

Beware, this is a total fraud. I got an email with this number demanding £485.12 payment through Quickbooks for some "1 Year Plan". The phone number included in the email was +44 (33) 0122-8505. Just so you know, (33) is actually the country code for France. Definitely a con job!

I get calls from them like 3 times every single day. I even reached out to my phone company to stop these international calls, but it didn't help at all. They keep ringing from various numbers starting with 0033. Feels like O2 might have just handed over my number to telemarketers or something.

This number (###) rings my phone nearly every single day. When I answer, there's absolutely no sound on the other end.

It's a bit like those kids who buzz your doorbell then scarper before you answer.

Imagine if the police treated that kind of prank at your front door like they do phone calls - you'd probably get fined.

But when it happens over the phone, it seems we're stuck with it since the cops can’t seem to deal with these calls.

Got a call from this number with a robotic voice saying it was from some bank security, never said which one though. It told me I had a couple of strange charges on my card and to press 1 to talk to someone. I hung up before they could say anything else.

Got a call earlier, it was some automated voice saying it was from my bank's security team but never said which bank. The message claimed there had been two dodgy transactions on my account, one supposedly from Amazon for £###. They asked me to either press a key or ring a number, but I didn’t stick around long enough to catch the full message.

Got a call on my home phone from ### out of the blue. I picked up and said hello, but the line just cut off. Before this, I’d had a few calls claiming to be from Amazon, trying to chat about my Amazon Prime account. I told them I don’t even have one, and when I checked with Amazon directly, they confirmed it wasn’t them. Those calls came around three times, then I lost it and told them off. After that, they started ringing me early mornings at like 6am from different numbers. I found out they’re somewhere in Manchester. I’ve been away for a bit, so now that I’m back, I reckon the calls will start again since they know I caught on. I’m thinking of contacting BT to see if there’s anything they can do or just let the answer machine deal with it. Seems like all this nonsense started from that very first bogus Amazon call. Cheers!

Got a call from a 0033### number earlier today. Right away, I suspected it was a con. There was an automated voice offering me to either cancel or chat with the ‘support team’. I hit cancel, but honestly, I’m not sure if that might still add fees to my phone bill. These scammers are such a nightmare. Wish someone would catch them for good.
