This number has been calling me a couple of times daily, but it's never a peep from them and often they just end the call straight away!

Been getting calls non-stop from this number for nearly a week now. Honestly, it's about time the phone company stepped in and put an end to it. Feels like they might be benefitting from these calls or something. So annoying!

Claimed he was with BT and insisted that my account had been breached.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT Openreach, started asking if I could see my profile pic. I wasn’t even near my pc, so I just ended the call straight away. Seemed dodgy to me!

This bloke said he was from BT Openreach, saying my internet was screwed up. Since I used to be with BT, I knew straight away they wouldn't ring customers themselves. As soon as I called him out on being a scammer, he just snapped, shouted something like "F#@k you, you motherf****r!" and slammed down. Lovely, that was.

I just had a right peculiar interaction with someone calling themselves Alex, who had quite an exaggerated Asian lilt to their voice, claiming to be from BT and insisting there was an issue with my internet connection. Having narrowly escaped a £7,000 loss earlier this month, all thanks to the keen eyes of Santander and M&S Bank, I recognised the ruse immediately. I played along for a bit before revealing that I was fully aware of the game they were trying to play. Well, wouldn’t you know it, ‘Alex’ abruptly hung up on me! It’s a bit alarming, really. As long as BT keeps employing folks with these noticeable accents, we’re all at risk of being conned by these fraudulent operators.

Got a call the other day from ‘Alex Jones’ speaking with a bit of an Asian accent, claiming to be from BT about some issue with my internet. Played along for a bit then told him straight I wasn’t falling for it - knew it was a scam. A few weeks back I almost lost about £7k to similar fraudsters, but luckily Santander and M&S bank flagged it and saved me just in time. Once I mentioned that, ‘Alex’ didn’t bother staying on the line and just hung up!

This bloke called claiming to be from BT. I told him straight up, in a polite-ish way, that he was a bloody scammer and to jog on.

I had a chat with a bloke named 'Mike' from BT. In a rather civil tone, I pointed out that he was nothing more than 'a complete charlatan' and suggested he 'bugger off'.

The cheeky chap just hung up on me!

I keep getting calls from this number but they never seem to answer when I pick up. They keep pushing for remote access to my computer to sort out some security issues, which seems rather suspicious if you ask me!

What a shambolic effort! They spoke in a mix of broken English and a rather pronounced Indian accent, trying to pull off an international call. They masqueraded as representatives from BT, claiming they needed to install some remote software to access bank accounts. Honestly, it was rather pathetic. For starters, they lacked any semblance of credibility. Secondly, they clearly have no real ties to BT whatsoever. And lastly, they were on the line with someone who actually knows a thing or two about IT security. Talk about a monumental blunder!
