Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk's tech support. He said they spotted issues with my internet. I told him everything was fine. Then he insisted he could sort it out! When I asked how, he told me to check my router and tell him how many lights were showing. I replied that I'd ring TalkTalk directly to verify any problems. There was nothing but quiet on the line, so I ended the call.

Since I can't hear the phone properly, the only way I know someone's called is from the caller ID. Had two calls today plus one from a Manchester number. I'm not daft and can say for sure every call I get is some sort of scam. I looked up the numbers on my computer and they all seem to be linked to PPI or TalkTalk scams.

Got a call from a woman speaking with a strong Indian accent, I could hardly catch what she was saying at first. She claimed to be from TalkTalk and said there was something wrong with my computer. I told her I didn’t have any issues and that I’ve got three different security softwares running, but she kept insisting there was a problem. I then told her I’d be getting in touch with my computer expert, and right after that, she just hung up. Next time that number pops up, I’ll have to break out my loud whistle and blast it in her ear, that trick’s worked every time before!

Got a call earlier today from someone saying they were from TalkTalk's tech team. Weirdly, he had my account number but when I asked, he couldn’t tell me my name. There was loads of background noise which made it sound like it was a proper call centre. He said my internet speed was too slow (which it ain’t) and offered to sort it out. I played along for a while, but when he asked me to open up my computer, I told him if there was an issue, I’d reach out to my provider myself.

got a call from bermuda earlier and since i was feeling rubbish i thought i’d try out my dogs bark gadget, it goes through the phone so they get blasted with a really sharp noise. poor pup got up because of it but i hope it gave those callers a right shock. fingers crossed they don’t bother ringing back. blocked now!

Pretty much like what others have said. They rung a few times and spoke to my missus who said I wasn’t home - but today I got a call myself from someone claiming to be from Talktalk tech support, offering me a cheaper deal as "a loyal customer". Then they asked if I had any issues - I mentioned a slow mobile signal, and, guess what? Apparently there were virus files on my router. Not really sure how my mobile is connected to the router but that’s what he said. I told him I wasn’t convinced, and he just ended the call.

Got a call the other day from a guy, sounding Asian, who could hardly speak proper English. He was going through some rubbish Talk Talk script pretending he wanted to help sort out my router - which was fine, by the way. I played along for a bit. Just had a pretty odd chat with a guy from Asia claiming to be from TALK TALK. He wanted to get into my elderly mum's laptop to sort out some virus problems on her router. After stringing him along for about 15 minutes, I told him we’re actually with BT, not TALK TALK. He said that didn’t make any difference. So, I asked if he was some sort of scammer, and he ended up being really rude about it. I’m taking that as a clear yes. Hopefully he got the message loud and clear.

Yeah this is totally a scam and mostly comes from the TalkTalk hack that happened a couple of years ago where they nicked loads of personal info. This number isn’t the only one they ring from, I get a couple calls every day (I just dont answer anymore - don’t bother wasting time ringing TalkTalk about these fake numbers, its pointless and takes ages). What has TalkTalk done about it? As far as I can tell, nothing at all. Why can’t the phone companies just block these numbers? Got a call from a bloke named John claiming to be from TalkTalk at about 10am today, I just hung up straight away. Then half an hour later, got another call from the same number but I saw it on my caller ID and didn’t bother picking up. Looks like this number is from South Africa but the people calling have Asian accents, maybe to make you think they're from Talk Talk since their call centre is in Manila. I figured this out after I spoke to one of the call centre staff while he was waiting for something to load on his screen when I switched my package.

This number has been ringing me loads over the past week. I ignored it at first, but when they called for the sixth time, I finally picked up. A guy calling himself Jack Thompson was on the line and he was pushy, even a bit rude, saying there was a virus on my computer that TalkTalk had detected. I handed the phone to my neighbour, who works in software design, and even after that, ‘Jack’ kept going on with his nonsense! Eventually, my neighbour told him straight up it was a total scam and to stop calling. I’d seriously recommend not answering this number.

Got a call from a woman claiming she was with TalkTalk, telling me my internet wasn’t secure. She even gave me what she said was my IP address and a 10-digit customer number to make it sound legit. She wanted me to follow her steps on my computer, threatening to cut off my connection if I didn’t comply. I didn’t do what she said and just turned off my PC. Today on 16/10/17 I got called two times. The first rang just after 9 in the morning but I ignored it. Then at about 2.30pm I picked up and there was a bloke speaking with a thick Asian accent.
