8 yearsSomebody rang up looking for my elderly sister, using her full name. She sadly ended up confirming it. Then they wanted to double-check her postcode, and she gave that too. I arrived just as she was about to give her bank card info over the phone. The bloke told her her card was out of date, obviously a dodgy scam. We’ve now blocked the number with BT Call Protect.BT Call Protect9 yearsI received a call from a woman who said she was with BT discussing my router. However, her grasp of English was quite lacking, and when I requested her to clarify, she simply cut the call. There was a fair bit of background commotion on the line, but it didn't resemble the chatter of a call centre; it sounded more like there was a television on in the background.BT9 yearsGot a call from some bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from BT, claiming my router had expired because the blue light was on. I told him to buzz off straight away. Then he rang back, all outraged, asking how I could talk to him like that. I just told him off again. No doubt, total scam.BT9 yearsSomeone called me claiming he was from BT and said my router was full of dangerous viruses. He spoke with an Indian accent and got annoyed when I kept asking him to go over what he said because I couldn’t catch it properly. I’ve got no issues with my router, so I reckon it was just a scam attempt.BT9 yearsReceived a call at precisely 11:15 on the 5th of July, 2017. Strangely enough, there was utter silence on the other end-no one said a word, and not a peep of background chatter either. Eventually, I decided to hang up out of sheer bewilderment.9 yearsJust to follow up on my earlier remark - I received a call on the 5th of July 2017 at precisely 11:15. I must say, I ended the call quite abruptly as there was absolutely no sound on the line! By the way, the prefix 00254 indicates that this is an international dialling code originating from Kenya.KenyaSubmit Your Own Report (874521)
