I was staying in Mallorca on holiday and my phone went off at about 3.30 in the morning. It woke me up since my phone has a really loud vibrate setting. It only rang for a couple of seconds before they just hung up. I didn't bother calling back, I'm pretty sure thats the whole point - they want you to ring them so you get charged loads! Definitely a scam if you ask me.

Sounds like a typical scam from some dodgy company out of a poorer country. They probably pay off someone to get hold of a list of phone numbers and then just start ringing them up. It's better if you ignore it since they actually want you to ring them back, so they can rake in a good chunk from the call charges. Lazy work, but unfortunately kinda makes sense when you think about it.
