It seems like every day I get these calls from numbers that all start the same way. They ring once or twice then just cut off. I block the number when it happens, but next day, almost exactly the same time, another call from a different number shows up. The calls are always brief, a couple rings then hung up. So far, the numbers ringing me have been things like: +88236900363, +242801110579, +88236900369, +242801110570, 488236970143, +242801110239, +88236970145, +88236970143. Bit annoying that it never stops.

I've been dealing with the same issue as everyone else here since about June 2018. I reached out to EE and they’re looking into it now. I think it could have something to do with calls from Russia too. Honestly, don’t even bother picking up because it’ll charge you £4.60 and no ones gonna answer, just a fake ringing sound on the line.

Phone rings a couple of times then just goes dead, definitely a scam.

They ring just briefly so it only shows up as a missed call, even if your phone doesn’t have time to ring properly (I think they hang up as soon as it starts on their side). It’s a trick to get you to ring back, and if you do, you’ll get charged a fortune for their little scam. I’ve never answered, but judging by this method, it’s obvious what they’re up to. Best advice is don’t pick up and try blocking the numbers. They often come back calling from a number very similar to the last one, just one or two digits changed, so watch out for that as well.

Like some others mentioned, it only rang a couple of times. Pretty clear they were hoping I would give them a call back!

They keep ringing me from different numbers all from the same place whenever I block one. It’s obviously a scam trying to get me to ring back. At one point, they even left a voicemail with an American accent saying something about an offer that’ll supposedly change my life or whatever. Total rubbish.

I got a call that just stopped after a couple of rings, turned out it's some sort of missed call scam. When I tried calling back, it directed me to a premium rate number and drained my phone credit. Watch out for this one!

I usually just block any calls starting with 002, it saves me from loads of unwanted numbers from that whole area.

Over the last three days, this number keeps ringing me non-stop, like five times daily. Every time I block it, they just ring back with a number that's only one digit off. It's honestly so annoying!
