This number’s been ringing me non stop for three days now. It’s an Indian lady and a couple of Indian blokes claiming they’re from Microsoft, saying there’s something wrong with my computer. I told them I don’t even have a PC or laptop and asked them to remove my number from their list, but all they do is hang up. I’m getting proper fed up and irritated with it all.

Getting endless calls from Indian call centres is driving me mad! Next time, I'm definitely gonna ask for their name and number so I can complain to whoever I can. Been thinking about getting a whistle to blow loudly every time one of those calls comes through.

This morning I got a couple of calls from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT Openreach. I just hung up straight away coz I doubt BT would ever call me. The second time he said there was an issue with my internet connection, something about spikes. Again, I just ended the call. Pretty sure BT wouldn’t contact me like that anyway, plus I don’t even use BT internet in the first place.

Loads of calls where no one says a word, then a recorded voice just says goodbye. Today, an Indian woman said she was from BT Openworld. I just hung up straight away. They seem to be looking for vulnerable folks to scam and rob, this needs to be reported to BT by anyone who gets these calls. I’m going to report it now.

Got a call from this number a few mins ago. At first, it was dead quiet then a lady with an Indian accent said she was from BT Openreach and said there’s an issue with my internet. I asked for a contact number to call back, she gave me one but it didn’t come up as a real number. This was just about an hour after someone else called pretending to be from Windows [lol] saying my PC was infected with a virus.

Had a couple of calls from a landline this morning and at least three the day before. When you pick up, there's nothing but silence at first, then if you hang about, someone eventually says they're from BT Open Reach. Proper frustrating.

This number has rang me 6 times in just two days, saying they're from BT Open Reach and asking about my laptop. I've made it clear every time it's a scam and told them not to call again, so either they’re really slow or just ignoring it on purpose. Since they’re pretending to be BT, I find it hard to believe BT can’t take action against these scammers. Next time, I’m not even gonna waste my time talking, just gonna hang up straight away.

A woman with an Indian accent called saying she was from BT Openreach. She said there was info about my computer being in danger from hackers. I asked what details she had and she said if I switched on my computer, she could show me. When I insisted she tell me first, she said I had to turn it on first. I told her I wouldn’t do that without proof. She couldn’t provide any info and got evasive, then just ended the call when I pressed her more.

Someone rang me claiming to be from BT Openreach, insisting that my internet was slow due to a supposed virus. I played along and mentioned I didn't own a computer (although I clearly do). We received a call today from someone claiming to be from BT, even though we had already informed them that we did not have an account with them. They persisted in their conversation, but it was clearly a scam. It is quite concerning that there isn't any system in place where we can report such incidents to BT and have them block the number for future calls. Nowadays, with the availability of technology, it seems like this should be possible!

They've rung me like about 10 times in the last couple days. I told em they’re just scammers and I’m gonna report the number but they kept blowing up my phone anyway!!!

Had a couple of calls the last two days saying they were from BT Open Reach, both times with thick Indian accents. Bit of a switch from when they say they're with Windows - you'd think they'd know to say Microsoft if they want to seem legit!

I am increasingly frustrated by the incessant calls I have been receiving yesterday and even this morning. The moment I give them directions, they abruptly end the call. It is imperative to find a solution to this issue. These calls primarily consist of foreign individuals speaking in hard-to-comprehend accents.

THE SAME NUMBER JUST RANG ME, THIS TIME FROM INDIA? IT SEEMED LIKE A SCAM ABOUT FIXING WINDOWS OR MICROSOFT ISSUES. I TOLD THEM I WASN’T INTERESTED AND TO STOP CALLING. HOW DO THEY EVEN GET THESE OLD PHONE NUMBERS FROM???

This number keeps bugging me non stop! I always check unknown calls with 1471 first. Honestly, I'm fed up with it - got 5 calls from this one just in the past hour!

Got a third call in just two days from these scammers. I decided to mess about a bit, and when I mentioned I work at BT too and asked for their staff ID to check, they just cut the call off immediately!!

Got calls twice today from the same number. Both times it was a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from BT Openreach, trying to get me to secure my PC from hackers. I kept them on the line just to see what they’d say. The first hung up pretty sharp after I started asking suspicious questions, but the second one actually admitted straight up they were scammers when I called them out! Had a pretty funny chat after that, but honestly these lot don’t even try to hide it anymore - probably because they reckon there’s little to no consequences.

I’ve also received a few calls from that number today, but when I pick up, there’s nobody on the other end. Then I got a third call from 001102924052016, which seems like the same number but with a different code in front. This time, someone with an Indian accent said something I couldn’t make out and then just hung up. Honestly, if they ring again, I’m keen to have a proper chat and see how quickly they realise I’m just messing about and wasting their time.

Some bloke rang saying he was from Microsoft, claiming my computer had spyware that needed sorting out, but he couldn’t say what the malware was or even the file type. Obviously, they’re just trying to hack into your PC. Don’t let them get in!

Got about 8 calls from this number over the past couple of days, all saying they’re from BT Openreach, telling me I’ve got a virus that they can sort out! I’ve tried different comebacks but usually end up just telling them to piss off. They’re pretty relentless and keep calling back quick as well. Depending on my mood, sometimes I play along, other times I just hang up. It’s actually kind of funny, though they do get quite cheeky and swear back before ending the call. Annoying for sure - I’d give the irritation an 8, entertainment a 10, but legit? Zero.

Yesterday a lady with a strange accent called me and today a bloke who sounded like he was from India rang. Both claimed my computer got hacked and asked me to switch it on!! I’m not daft, so I told them to wait while I turned it on (actually, I was grabbing my whistle that’s just for these annoying calls!!). I then shouted down the phone as loud as I could before telling them to do one! Maybe not very polite, but felt so good!!!

18 June 2016 9:15am. Got a call from this number again. They rang me yesterday too, claiming to be from BT - I told them to shove it. Looks like they’re not giving up just yet. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I got a call from a woman with an Indian/African accent saying she was from BT Open Reach, asking loads about my broadband and computer setup. When I didn’t fall for it and pretended not to understand, she got really annoyed and called me a proper rude name. Hoping that was the end of it, but I reckon they’ll be ringing up again soon enough.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from BT Open Reach. He told me there was strange activity on my broadband. I said I'll ring BT myself to confirm and then ended the call. Do they seriously reckon we’re that gullible? Absolute muppets. Do NOT trust them, it’s definitely a scam.

Some bloke from India called me claiming he was with a firm linked to Microsoft, said he could stop my PC from crashing, told me to hit ctrl and r, and asked what popped up. When I asked for his phone number, he said he’d connect me to his boss - that’s when I just ended the call.

Got called like three times just last week by people with Indian accents saying they're from BT Open Reach. They kept telling me my internet had some kind of virus and offered to help fix it by guiding me through stuff on my PC, which is obviously a trick to take over my computer! Really don't trust these calls.

There is a scam circulating where individuals attempt to obtain personal details in order to steal money from your bank account. They often pretend to be representatives from BT Openreach and claim that someone is hacking your computer. Once confronted, they quickly hang up the phone.

This individual poses as a representative from the Windows Technical Department, claiming that hackers are currently accessing my computer and stealing sensitive information. Curious, I inquire about the identity of these hackers and the specific details of the information being targeted. In response, he hurls offensive language, telling me to "Go to hell with your computer, you foolish man." How charming. These fraudulent attempts are truly perplexing; it begs the question of who could possibly be influenced by such tactics.

Got a call this mornin from this number, the bloke sounded Indian and claimed to be from Microsoft. I told him I couldn’t hear properly and hung up. Just 2 minutes later he rang again, saying my computer was infected and offered to fix it if I paid £7. Asked me to log into my bank to pay. I told him I couldn’t log in, then he asked if I had a card reader or another bank account. I wasted nearly an hour on the call (they must’ve been payin for it) and when they realised I wasn’t biting, they said they'd ring me back tomorrow. Still waitin for that call!!!

I said I wasn’t hearing him clearly and the connection was rubbish, then he ended the call and rang me again! When I mentioned I thought it was a scam and that I was recording, he just hung up straight away.

Got calls from someone claiming to be from BT Openreach two days running, saying my internet was slow. Yesterday I told them I don’t have a PC and I’m actually with Virgin. Today they said they’d spoken to Virgin who denied any links with Openreach, then the bloke just hung up.

This number has rung me today, yesterday, and even last week. Since it showed up as INTERNATIONAL, I didn’t pick up but quickly looked it up online. Honestly, it’s annoying that BT makes you pay for caller ID and then charges again to block these sorts of calls. They really oughta bundle it into their already sky-high fees or have a way to stop the calls altogether. I’m ex-directory and on the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to help at all.

Got a call from this number earlier today, saying my computer was infected with a virus or something like that. The bloke, who had an Asian accent, said he had my “computer ID.” When I asked if he could tell me my name, he quickly realised I was onto him and just hung up. I've reported it to the police and I'm going to let BT know as well. Everyone should report these calls, otherwise the police and BT won’t be able to take action!

This morning I got a call from a lady with a really foreign accent, saying she was ringing from BT about my laptop. I knew straight away it was dodgy, told her she was a scammer and hung up quick. Afterwards, I rang BT myself and they said they had no record of any call like that from them. Definitely a scam!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from BT Openreach, saying there was a problem with my computer. I just hung up straight away. These lot are scammers, I’ve no connection with BT whatsoever. Sometimes they pretend to be from TalkTalk instead - complete con artists and lowlifes. My elderly neighbour got caught out by one of these scams, and when he didn’t pay, they started yelling at him and wiped his entire PC. They really do go that far, so watch out, these people are proper criminals.
