Got a missed call from this number around half past eleven today. Since I’ve never dealt with anyone from Sierra Leone, it’s got to be some kind of scam, right? On top of that, I’ve been getting loads of private calls the past few days - they ring about three times then stop. Feels like they might be connected somehow. Posted about this yesterday, saying anyone who gets calls from this number really ought to report it to Action Fraud. Guess what, hardly anyone has done it! This site has had over 2,000 views on that post alone, but that’s probably only a small piece of the scam calls being made from this number. If the police received even a couple of thousand complaints, I’m sure they’d do something to shut this number down and find the people behind it.

I already mentioned this before but now it’s gone further - my eBay and Spotify accounts got hacked and they changed the phone number connected to them. Weird thing is, the new number has the exact same area code and digits as this one! Seriously, watch out and don’t take this lightly!!

Finally, someone's flagged this wangiri scam to the cops. Use that 'action fraud' link up there to make a report. I reckon these calls ought to be treated seriously as criminal acts, not just phishing attempts, especially since part of the site doesn’t seem to be working right now. The only way to put an end to these calls is by reporting them properly. Blocking them is pointless because those pesky b*****ds just ring back on a new number.
