Since Monday, I've been getting loads of calls from +223, Mali. I rang Tesco, my network provider, about it and they told me to block the numbers, which I've tried, but the calls keep coming. They also suggested changing my number, but that’s such a hassle. Someone really needs to sort this out and put a stop to these nonstop calls!

Mali has called me 25 times over the past two days. They keep switching the phone numbers, changing some digits each time. Every time I block one number, another pops up ringing me. I ended up downloading the Mr Number app so I could block the entire area code and stop them altogether.

I ended up calling one back and it cost me over £7 just to hear some bloke with a foreign accent pretending to be shouting abuse (at least, I hope it was fake). It was really horrible and upsetting to hear. I've blocked tons of these numbers but the calls just keep coming from all sorts of different ones. O2 couldn't care less and just told me it’s a police issue.

I’m on O2, and for the past few days, I’ve been getting nonstop calls from numbers in Mali and Switzerland. My daughter’s phone has been ringing about 20 times in just two days. I told O2 about it today and they mentioned loads of people have been complaining about the same thing and they’re looking into it. My daughter called one of those numbers back and ended up with a £9 charge on her bill, but thankfully O2 took it off as a goodwill thing. Seriously, O2, you need to fix this mess.

Having the exact same issue here lads. I’m with O2 and got 5 calls from Mali yesterday, plus one from Vanuatu, then 4 more from Mali today. I’ve blocked every number but now they’re ringing me through Viber instead. Spoke to O2 and they said just don’t pick up as it’ll cost me, keep blocking, and they’re trying to fix it. They even asked if I wanted to change my number. Absolutely not!

I've had several calls from different numbers, all showing Ascension Island and Mali. I blocked them and called O2, but all they said was to block the calls, maybe change my number, and gave me a number to report marketing calls! Really frustrating, feels like O2 is just passing me around and not doing much. I’m not picking up any of these calls now because I’m sure they’re scams. These calls are often called "Wangiri" scams. I found an article from Australia explaining exactly how they work [#]amp.abc[###].au/article/9396072. Basically, the number is linked to expensive premium lines. They ring you briefly then cut off, so you see a missed call. If you call back, you either get put on hold or get some nonsense, all the while your phone bill is racking up big charges.

This number just called me earlier today, gave two rings and then cut off. Had another missed call this morning from +223 69 95 99 11 which I reckon is connected. I’ve blocked both and also flagged them to O2’s spam reporting.

This number called me but no one picked up. When I checked, it showed the caller as Malli. Then they rang again but I missed it. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got two calls from the same number, said it was O2 or something, but I ignored both and they never bothered ringing back. Quite annoying really.

I got a call from this number but they just hung up straight away. Also noticed 22364274270 ringing me too, both seem to be from Mali.

Just like a lot of others here, it's coming from Mali. It rings twice then drops, then after around 30 mins it happens again from a different number but still from Mali. I'm with O2 too.

This number rang me and then just cut off. If you ring it back, be warned it's a collect call and you'll end up paying loads. Best to just leave it well alone.
