I noticed a weird charge on my phone bill for a call I supposedly made to a landline in Mauretania. No idea how that came about, maybe I pressed something by mistake while checking voicemails or something. Either way, it looks pretty dodgy - stay clear of it!

I get calls from them all the time. Every time, I warn them that I've cursed their whole family with some serious bad luck.

I got a call from someone claiming to be BT, saying there was a problem with my PC. I kept asking loads of questions and they finally just hung up on me. But the annoying bit is they keep ringing every single day. They even used my name and email, which freaked me out a bit. When I contacted BT about it, they told me it’s actually pretty simple to find out that info if you know what you’re doing. Lovely.

I received a rather dubious call from individuals claiming to represent BT. They surprisingly had my name and email in their possession. Their pitch was all about my computer malfunctioning and supposedly sending out error alerts. I probed them with numerous questions, probably too many for their liking, and they abruptly ended the conversation. Despite that, they persist in ringing me on a daily basis.

Got a call from 00222222 and the person kept insisting on speaking to me directly. When I asked who it was, they claimed to be from BTInternet. Definitely a dodgy caller, didn't sound right at all.

I've been inundated with calls, getting at least one every single day for the past fortnight. I attempted to block the numbers, but alas, that seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

Utter nonsense, honestly. They've been pestering me for the last couple of months, ringing up to three times a day! Absolute fraudsters, if you ask me.

Got a call from 00222222, they asked for another person then just cut off. Proper rude that. Found this site tho and now I’ve got a cheeky idea brewing.

Every day, they call up, trying to convince you there’s something wrong with your computer. It’s clearly a scam. Best thing to do is just tell them to wait a moment and then put the phone down without engaging.

This number has called me quite a few times. Usually, I avoid picking up international calls, but I was a bit bored today and decided to answer. Sadly, the call dropped straight away when I picked up!

They keep calling me nonstop, saying there's an issue with my Windows 10 and that they're from Microsoft. Such nonsense, it's obviously a scam to get access to your PC. I just tell them I’m not falling for it and they shut up quickly. I prefer handling my computer issues myself. These calls happen way too often.

This number called me two times, saying they were from Norton Antivirus or something like that. They didn't even get my name right and hung up when I said I wasn’t sure if they were legit. Both calls sounded like they were from an Indian call centre, you could tell from the background noise.

For the past two weeks, I've been receiving calls almost daily-often two or three times in one day! I picked up the phone once, and it was obvious it was a call centre trying to sell something. Now, I’m screening all my calls using the answerphone.

Ah, I didn't pick up this time but I’m sure they’ll ring back soon enough! After reading what everyone’s said, I’m kinda wishing I’d answered so I could try out my cheeky comeback. They’ve called me like three times today alone, so it won’t be long before I’m either without a computer because, y’know, I’ve ‘lost’ my hands or I’ll probably just tell them “I am job” if they try selling something else. Also, if they threaten to block Windows or something, I reckon “yes please” is the perfect reply.

Today alone this number has called me about ten times. There was also a call from someone speaking with a foreign accent, asking questions about our computer’s security. Obviously, I didn’t share any info with them!

Got a couple of calls from 00222222, both came within like 4 minutes of each other. Right before that, some guy named Jonathon, said he was ringing from Microsoft Support. The usual nonsense about my computer having issues. I just told him I don’t even own one and he just ended the call. Such scumbags!

Over the past few days, I've been repeatedly contacted by the number 00222222, and just this morning I received three calls from them. The person on the other end is trying to extort £135 from me, threatening to lock my Microsoft Windows 10 system if I don’t pay up. It’s clearly a scam, but I have no idea how to make them stop hassling me. Is there any way to take legal action against this person? Also, I’m puzzled about how they even got hold of my information. Any advice on protecting my PC would be much appreciated. Melville Coombes

I've been receiving alarming phone calls from a number starting with 00222222, claiming that unless I cough up £135, my Windows 10 will be disabled. It’s quite unnerving, to say the least. I did end up shutting my computer down, though.

Got a call from this number on 30th May 2016, I picked up and just said "hello" then they suddenly ended the call. When I checked with 1471 it showed the number as 00222222. Waste of time for sure!

On the 27th of May 2016, I picked up the phone twice to the same number. The first time, there was complete silence before the call just dropped. When it rang again and I answered, all I heard was 'goodbye' and then it cut off. The phone rang a third time after that, but I chose to not pick up. I checked the number using 1471 and it showed as coming from 00222222, so it's clearly a scam!
