I received a text claiming to be from the DWP about the winter fuel payment for 2024/25, saying I had to click a link and claim by 7 July 2025. The message came from +212 6 49 68 82 70, which on ‘Who Called Me’ appeared as 00212649688270 and was apparently a Moroccan mobile number. After checking on here, I realised it was a scam. Glad I didn’t fall for it. Absolute pickpockets!

Today I got a text on my phone from the number +212 6 49 68 82 70 (it shows as 00212649688270 on 'Who Called Me'). The message said it was from the DWP and that I had to click a link to claim my winter payment for 2024/2025, with a deadline of yesterday (7/7/2025). Seems like a total scam to me. According to 'Who Called Me,' that number belongs to a mobile from Morocco. Dodgy scammers for sure. I've blocked it and deleted the message.
