I received a call claiming to be from Microsoft. The caller mentioned the name my phone was associated with and insisted that I owned a computer, which I firmly denied. Despite my insistence, he kept pushing the idea that I had one. I countered that the name he had was incorrect, indicating there must be some sort of error on his part, and decided to end the conversation by hanging up.

didn’t answer the phone but looked it up here first. if it rings back I’m gonna block it. the annoying thing with bt call protect is you have to pick up the actual call before you can block the number, but once you do it works well - no more calls from blocked numbers from then on. if this number tries again I’ll just quickly pick up and hang up straight away so I can ring 1572 and block it right after.

Beware, it’s a scam! Microsoft never calls people directly like that, especially not private folks. Definitely don’t trust those calls.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft. When I told them I'd ring Microsoft using the official number instead, they just called me stupid and then ended the call. Really rude!

At about 10.15 this morning, I got a call from this number. They started saying something about cold calling or whatever but the line kept breaking up. As soon as my voicemail kicked in, they just hung up. Strange behaviour.

Got a call from this number today, 28/1/2019. My wife answered and the person was going on about some virus on our laptop and phone. She kept saying I wasn’t home and asked him to ring back later. The caller got annoyed and just ended the call. Needless to say, the number’s now on our blocked list.

Somebody rang up pretending to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was sending error reports to them. I played along for a bit but they soon worked out I wasn’t buying it. Then the woman got really annoyed and started calling me stupid, sounded proper angry. Before I could even say sorry, she just hung up on me.

Has been ringing repeatedly, never drops a message. I've blocked the number now.

Someone called claiming there were issues with my computer at home, but the moment I asked if it was a scam, they just cut the call.
