Unfortunately, I decided to call the number back and ended up speaking to someone with a stereotypical accent and who acted foolishly. In response, I chose to remain silent on my landline, just as they had been with me. Although this could mean that I will be responsible for paying the international charges associated with the mobile call, it certainly won't be pleasant for me.

The call was quiet, but then it got redirected.
If you want to know the gas and electricity supplier, do you pay on a monthly basis? Please confirm your name and postcode.
I foolishly answered the questions.
I advise you to simply end the call as this might be a scam aimed at gathering information for identity fraud.

I received a call earlier, and after hearing the ringtone, an individual with an Indian accent inquired about my gas supplier. I promptly informed him that I was not willing to change any agreements over the phone. Despite his assurance that this wasn't a sales call, he proceeded to ask about the frequency of my bill payments and whether the postcode he mentioned matched mine (which it did). Finally, he stated that I should be expecting something to arrive in the mail within the next few days.

My phone keeps receiving calls from this particular number on a regular basis. Despite me never picking up the calls, it persists in trying at least once every week. Sometimes, it even attempts twice in quick succession. Thankfully, I have caller display enabled, allowing me to see the incoming number.
