Got a call claiming to be from BT saying my network was slow and they needed to scan for a virus. Total scam though, cos I’m not a BT customer at all.

They rang me four times within a day, but I answered just the last time. The caller was an Asian bloke claiming to be from Talk Talk, saying my internet speed was both slow and fast. I told him an engineer had already checked my connection and he couldn’t access my computer. He seemed annoyed that he couldn’t get in and then just cut the call.

This number has rung me a few times before, but earlier today I finally asked what the call was about. The lady replied she wasn’t after anything from me, just wanted to inform me about something... then I just ended the call. I’m with TalkTalk myself.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, saying she was from TalkTalk. I wasn’t having any of it and just told her 'you're not from TalkTalk' before hanging up. I reckon she might’ve grabbed my info from that data breach, even though TalkTalk said I wasn’t impacted. Guess it's about time I switch to a different internet provider...

I got a call from some guy with an Asian accent, then he just hung up on me. I’m a TalkTalk user as well, but honestly, I’m thinking of switching soon. This sort of thing keeps happening way too often.

On a couple of occasions, they just stayed silent and then ended the call after a few seconds. By the way, I’m a TalkTalk user as well.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent asking for my bank info, totally seemed fishy to me. Best to just ignore this number and not pick up!

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from TalkTalk tech support, sounded pretty legit. He told me my computer had a virus causing it to lag, so he asked to access it remotely. Being a bit naive, I let him, but once he started poking around my system, I quickly shut it down. I immediately rang my bank to freeze my accounts and update all my passwords. Then I contacted TalkTalk and they said it was definitely a scam and my PC might be compromised, recommending I get a proper virus scan done asap.

Got a call from a guy claiming to be from TalkTalk tech support. He somehow already knew my name, where I live, and even my account number. Made me feel a bit uneasy, to be honest.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who sounded like he was reading from a script or being fed lines by someone. Claimed he was calling from TalkTalk’s tech support. I told him I wasn’t buying it, and he kinda froze, didn’t really have a comeback. Ended the chat telling him to take a hike in the rudest way possible.

I saw an unknown number pop up on my phone so I just ignored it and let it go to voicemail. I usually don’t pick up unless it’s someone I’m expecting. Most of the time, those calls are just rubbish anyway.

My phone rang and it was that same guy with the Asian accent from Talk Talk, asking me to let him access my computer remotely. I asked if he’s one of the scammers who called me yesterday, and he just hung up on me. It's weird how Talk Talk keep saying the hack wasn’t a big deal, but I keep getting calls from loads of different international numbers pretending to be Talk Talk. How on earth did they get hold of my number in the first place???
