I got a call from 0020354222234 and the person was really pushy, asking all sorts of personal stuff. He kept inquiring if I was "Mr. 222" or something like that. I said no, and told him the guy he was after was behind bars. But that didn't stop him at all, he just carried on with his questions. I ended up hanging up, but they rang me straight back. I ended the call again, but he was back on the line almost immediately. Proper annoying.

Here we go again with the endless stream of 'scammers'. This particular bunch seems to originate from Egypt, claiming to conduct a so-called 'Lifestyle' survey. The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) really doesn’t have any power over these overseas calls. Not that they or Ofcom do a great deal to tackle the problem of UK-based scammers either. To save yourselves some grief, it's well worth forking out £19.00 for a call blocker. I've managed to block this lot now.

Every six months like clockwork, I receive calls looking for the previous owner of my number. I always inform them that the individual they are seeking no longer resides here and request that they take my number off their contact list. Yet, despite my efforts, the calls keep coming. On the 11th of February, 2015, I answered a call, greeting the caller with “hello” two times, but there was only silence on the other end. If you spot this number or one like it on your phone, I recommend not engaging-just let it ring until it eventually disconnects; trust me, it’ll surely vex them!
