I got a quiet call from this number. 1471 showed their digits, but when I rung back, all I heard was a recorded voice speaking what seemed like Persian, then English saying the number’s invalid and to double check. The company’s name is Say And Save (I made sure he spelled it for me properly) - they’ve phoned me so many times I honestly lost track. Every time I pick up, I tell them to remove me from their list and then just hang up. It’s not always this exact number, but they follow the same script each time. We told the person on the phone that we were too tied up to chat, and he shot back with "Then why pick up the phone at all? If you’re busy, don’t bother answering!" (Actually, we were waiting for a very important call and had no choice but to pick up.) After that, he wouldn’t say which company he was with, so we just ended the call. Thankfully, they haven’t gotten in touch again since.

i keep gettin calls from someone with an asian accent, sayin they’re from microsoft support. i now know its a scam but back then i actually believed it. they ask me to switch on my pc so they can show me someone’s been usin it for dodgy stuff and downloading illegal things. i told them i aint gonna turn it on or let them see my screen, and they got proper rude, not swearin but speakin loudly and aggressive. this kinda call went on for months. now ive got a bt blocker on the phone so most calls get stopped, but every now and then they ring me like 3 or 4 times a day.

Same here, never caught the company name. I’ve told them loads of times to stop calling but they just keep ringing. The number’s from Egypt but the bloke sounded Indian. It’s so annoying, always during dinner when I’m trying to cook or eat, and since my son lives overseas, sometimes I pick up thinking it’s him before realising it’s not. From what I hear, no new laws will stop these calls unless they're from UK numbers - but honestly, I doubt that’ll make much difference. I’ve been getting calls from these guys nonstop for about half a year now. Seriously, how do these companies even get hold of ex-directory numbers? There should be laws in place to shut down these dodgy companies once and for all.

These lot keep ringing me up, like three times daily. Sometimes I pick up, and it’s some bloke from India with some story. If you don’t wanna bother, just don’t even pick up.

This number called me three times straight, which was quite unsettling. They kept asking me to verify my address repeatedly, even though I told them to take me off their list. It’s really frustrating how they kept pushing with more questions after I said no. Proper annoying!

Received a call at 12:50 today but the line went dead as soon as I picked up.

They kept calling me nonstop even after I'd answered everything twice already. I told them to stop ringing and then out of nowhere, a supervisor phoned me three times, telling me to hear him out. He said he’d only call on their behalf, which shows he clearly didn’t take my request seriously at all.

They rang me at just after midday and asked if it was me, using my name. I told them they’d got the wrong person. Then they wanted to know if I owned the number. Said no to that, and they just hung up. Even though my number’s ex-directory, I’m on the TPS list, and my name’s not linked to the address, they still keep calling and using my name. Really annoying!

Caller claimed he wasn’t trying to sell anything, then asked for my address to confirm before just hanging up! His English was quite broken and he said his name was David. Really odd.

Got a call from this number earlier today. The person already knew my name and the road I live on, then wanted my house number too. When I questioned what they needed that for and why I should share info with someone I don’t know ringing out of the blue, they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent who got quite rude when I said I wasn’t interested and didn’t want to give my info. They were pretty pushy about it. This isn’t the first time I’ve had calls like this, and honestly, I’m getting well annoyed. I’m on the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to stop these calls at all!
