I got a quiet call from this number. 1471 showed their digits, but when I rung back, all I heard was a recorded voice speaking what seemed like Persian, then English saying the number’s invalid and to double check. The company’s name is Say And Save (I made sure he spelled it for me properly) - they’ve phoned me so many times I honestly lost track. Every time I pick up, I tell them to remove me from their list and then just hang up. It’s not always this exact number, but they follow the same script each time. Even though I’m on the TPS, I still get these calls, sometimes up to six times daily!!

We told the person on the phone that we were too tied up to chat, and he shot back with "Then why pick up the phone at all? If you’re busy, don’t bother answering!" (Actually, we were waiting for a very important call and had no choice but to pick up.) After that, he wouldn’t say which company he was with, so we just ended the call. Thankfully, they haven’t gotten in touch again since.

i keep gettin calls from someone with an asian accent, sayin they’re from microsoft support. i now know its a scam but back then i actually believed it. they ask me to switch on my pc so they can show me someone’s been usin it for dodgy stuff and downloading illegal things. i told them i aint gonna turn it on or let them see my screen, and they got proper rude, not swearin but speakin loudly and aggressive. this kinda call went on for months. now ive got a bt blocker on the phone so most calls get stopped, but every now and then they ring me like 3 or 4 times a day.

Same here, never caught the company name. I’ve told them loads of times to stop calling but they just keep ringing. The number’s from Egypt but the bloke sounded Indian. It’s so annoying, always during dinner when I’m trying to cook or eat, and since my son lives overseas, sometimes I pick up thinking it’s him before realising it’s not. From what I hear, no new laws will stop these calls unless they're from UK numbers - but honestly, I doubt that’ll make much difference. I’m so fed up now that even if they were offering something really useful, I wouldn’t bother buying it!

I’ve been getting calls from these guys nonstop for about half a year now. I told them I’m a police officer and they stopped calling for a bit, but recently they’re back, ringing me like 6 times a day. Luckily, with my new BT call blocking phone, I just let them ring out. Seriously, how do these companies even get hold of ex-directory numbers? There should be laws in place to shut down these dodgy companies once and for all.

I asked if they realised the hour, and requested that they remove my number from their list. This number seems to ring my phone incessantly, usually from the same individual, although they’ve taken to using different names each time. They race through the company name so quickly that it’s utterly baffling. On one occasion, I requested to chat with the manager, and the caller tossed out a name, but then bizarrely added “for now” before laughing and cutting off the call with, “Ha ha, I’ve baffled you!” I’m really not in a position to disregard these calls, which has led me to respond in a rather harsh manner-something I do not typically do. If this nonsense keeps up, I might just grab a whistle and blow the lid off this annoyance!

Last time, a guy with an Indian accent said he was doing a survey, but when I said I wasn’t interested, he started being really rude and swore at me. I just ended the call straight away. I really wish these calls would stop, especially as I’m disabled and it’s not easy for me to get up from my chair since the phone’s in the hallway!

I've received a number of calls from this particular number lately. The caller had an Asian accent and was keen for me to participate in a survey. When I expressed my disinterest, he grew increasingly insistent and, quite frankly, rather rude. In the end, I decided to hang up on him!

Rude individual from India. He asked for a name I didn’t recognise, and when I informed him he had dialled the wrong number, he told me to shove off. I declined to provide my name, which only made him escalate his shouting before he abruptly ended the call. What a charmer!

My mum accidentally ended up responding to a couple of questions before she realised what was happening and put an end to the call. The chap rang back three times, persistently asking why she had started answering if she wasn’t going to complete the whole thing. He was quite cagey about revealing his employer, and kept on probing about why she hung up. Eventually, after he began to make vague threats of involving the authorities, I was fed up enough to firmly tell him to get lost.

The caller requested I engage in a questionnaire, but when I politely declined, they responded rather rudely with an expletive before abruptly ending the call. Curious about the incident, I dialled 1471 to retrieve the number along with the time of the call. The number in question was 002035140462, and the time was indeed 19:29.

They kept calling me nonstop even after I'd answered everything twice already. I told them to stop ringing and then out of nowhere, a supervisor phoned me three times, telling me to hear him out. He said he’d only call on their behalf, which shows he clearly didn’t take my request seriously at all.

Received a call at exactly 12:04 in the afternoon. They inquired after my name, which wasn't even correct, so I informed them they had the wrong number. They then asked if I was the registered owner of this number. I responded with a resounding "No." Before I knew it, they'd hung up on me. It's rather puzzling, given that my number is unlisted, registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and doesn't appear under my name on any household records. Yet, they persist in calling me by my name!

Received a call earlier today. They mentioned my name and street but asked for my house number. I queried their reasons for needing that info, particularly why I’d share anything personal with someone I didn’t know, and they promptly ended the call.
