Got a call from an unknown number, seemed suspicious so I’ve just blocked it now.

I've been getting incessant silent calls from this number on a daily basis. My contact is listed with the Telephone Preference Service, so it's really quite infuriating!

Today, got a ring but the caller seemed put off when I started quizzing them with my BT8500 call blocker, so they just hung up without dropping a message. Since I set this up a year back, I've not had a single scam or dodgy call. I reckon this person dug up some outdated list with my number on it that’s been ignored by most. Some genuine people ringing for the first time have moaned about having to give their name, but I still let it go to voicemail. No wonder though, cos usually I’m not around to pick up anyhow.

What’s the point in submitting a report? It seems you never take any action.

When I asked who he was, he said he was from Allianz but then just hung up on me. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

Avoid giving any info to this number, definitely a scam!

It seems like I've come across a scammer who’s pretending to handle accident claims; I wouldn’t be surprised if they dabble in Microsoft or banking scams as well.

A chap with rather poor English inquired whether anyone had experienced an accident. When I pressed him for the name of the company and reminded him that my number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, he responded rather rudely and, predictably, cut the call.

This number rings me incessantly, and the person on the other end has a shaky grasp of English. They tend to cut the line once I request to verify their identity or any specifics. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a rather dodgy call today from this number, which was par for the course, involving some nonsense about a supposed car accident linked to my number over the past three years. When I pressed for specifics, the chap on the other end-typical Asian male scammer-decided to abruptly end the conversation. It's infuriating! Given their rude disposition, one has to wonder if they're fishing for you to ring back a pricey Egyptian number. Or perhaps they're just keen on nabbing your personal info, like your name and banking details, for a scam they have lined up for later?

Got a call today from this number with the same old story - someone linked to my phone supposedly got into a car crash recently. When I asked for more info, some Asian bloke on the other end just cut me off. They’re always so impolite! Makes me wonder if they’re hoping you ring back a pricey Egyptian number or maybe trying to fish out your personal info like your bank details for a scam later on.

UK accident claims-have you found yourself involved in a car mishap over the past three years? It seems they lack any specifics and avoid responding to inquiries; it appears to be yet another dodgy scheme.

Today, I received a rather typical call from this number, prattling on about some alleged car accident involving someone at my number within the past three years. I pressed them for more information, but as per usual, the dodgy chap on the other end-an Asian male, if I’m not mistaken-decided to abruptly end the conversation. It's infuriating how rude they can be! Perhaps they’re angling for you to ring back a premium-rate number based in Egypt? Or maybe they’re fishing for personal details like your name and bank details for some nefarious scheme down the line. Always best to be on guard!

Some bloke ringed me pretending to be from the accident advice helpline, saying he was ringing about a car crash with Allianz involved. Problem is, I’ve never had any accident like that. I’ve now told the proper accident advice helpline about it at [#][#]accidentadvicehelpline[###J/imposters/ to warn others.

No message left when they rang. I usually just block anyone who doesn’t leave a voicemail because my message warns them I will if they don’t.

Claiming to represent an accident assistance service, they contacted us insisting they had details regarding a car crash we supposedly experienced. The truth is, we haven't been involved in any such incident at all.

I’m not sure who called since I usually only share my mobile number. The landline’s just for the internet. It was around 7:40 in the evening on Saturday, 17th December 2016.

Had another call today from that same chap. I insisted he take my number off his list. He feigned ignorance, claiming he couldn't comprehend a single word I uttered. So, I wondered aloud if his lack of understanding was due to that 'incident' I had. His response? A confirmation that he did indeed understand. So I cheekily remarked, "Ah, so you do speak English!" before hanging up on him.

I've never been to Egypt nor know anyone there, so I reckon it's a scam call. When it rang I wasn't in, and they didn't leave a voicemail. I've also had a couple of calls from a person speaking with a strange foreign accent, but I couldn't catch what they said, and they just hung up as soon as I told them that. Another time, someone called saying my computer had issues, I just told them it wasn't even switched on, so obviously it's not working!

I’m looking to inquire about claims related to car accidents. To clarify, I did indeed encounter something, but it wasn't a typical vehicle-more of an otherworldly craft that was exceedingly bright. It descended from the heavens and hovered near me. Quite the unusual experience, if I must say! I kept the conversation lively for a good five minutes.

I recently acquired a fresh phone number via my internet provider, and it's a bit perplexing, as only they and I are aware of it. I’ve opted to be ex-directory, yet this mysterious number keeps calling me. How curious!

Scam regarding accident claims. The bloke was rather abrasive and pushy.

Received a call from this number earlier today, specifically on the 8th of December, 2016, at precisely twenty-eight minutes past four. An Asian lady was on the line, yet I couldn't quite catch the name or purpose of her call. Just as I began to speak, she abruptly disconnected. I’m on the ex-directory list and my number is meant to be protected from such unsolicited calls. I was under the impression the government was taking measures to tackle these relentless cold callers; clearly, that's just another unfulfilled promise.

I received a call on behalf of my aged father rather late at night. I picked up the phone when it rang, only for the caller to hang up the moment I said hello. It’s really concerning, and I think it’s high time this sort of thing is addressed. I can’t have my father being bothered with these calls at such an inappropriate hour.

Could hardly make out what the woman on the phone was saying - her voice was rather gravelly, you know? I did find myself curious about her, though - one can't help but wonder if she’s well-endowed. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a moment to pose that question. It's a bit of a laugh, dealing with such dimwits, though!

I received a call from this number today, and I decided to let them know that I'm not interested in participating in any surveys. Now, whenever I answer the phone, they have the cheek to hang up! It’s really frustrating, especially since my son works night shifts and needs his rest. I'd really appreciate it if they could put an end to this nonsense.

I didn’t catch the name or company he mentioned; it was rather difficult to decipher. He inquired about my well-being, and when I pressed him on the reason for his call-wondering if he wished to make an order-he abruptly disconnected. My advice? If you get one of these calls, just terminate the conversation or have a laugh by leading them on for a bit, but steer clear of anything else, as it's clear they’re not on the level.

I received a call from this number around half past four. I answered with a cheerful "hello," but there was complete silence on the line. It seems to me like one of those nuisance calls.

I've received a barrage of calls from this number-six in just sixty minutes! All from some very persistent individuals claiming that someone associated with my number has been involved in an accident over the past year. I explained during the first call that I hadn't had any mishaps and that they’d actually roused me from my slumber. Despite that, the phone kept ringing, and after the fifth call, I decided enough was enough and disconnected the line. It's quite disappointing, considering I thought the BT Preference Service was supposed to help with these nuisance calls!

Likely a con artist, they kicked off the conversation with a polite 'how are you' and then promptly terminated the call when I inquired about the company's physical address. I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so these individuals are clearly operating outside the law.

This appears to be a con artist at work. They kicked off the conversation with all the usual pleasantries, asking how I was and all that jazz. However, the moment I requested a physical address for their business, they abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, don't you think?
