Got a call from someone pretending to be BT. Decided to mess about with them for a while, and in the end they completely lost it, shouting a load of nasty stuff down the phone. I was chuckling the whole time and even said thanks for ringing before hanging up.

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT, claiming my internet had some foreign virus and that I had to stay at my PC so he could sort it out. Said he’d share his staff ID and all that. Absolutely awful experience. Ended up blocking the number using 1572.

Today I got a couple of calls from this rude Asian lady who said she was with BT. I told her I wasn’t interested, but she just hung up on me. Then she rang straight back, shouting down the phone. When I answered a bit sharp, she told me to do one, then hung up. After that, I got a strange silent call from the same number. Proper annoying!

On the 25th April, my missus got a couple of calls from this number. Some bloke called Max rang saying there was an issue with our BT internet - which makes no sense ‘cos we’re not even BT customers! She had a right chuckle and told him straight he was probably trying to scam us, maybe hacking our computer or nicking our info. She made it clear she wasn’t daft. Then he snapped back with “I will really F##K you up”! We’ve since reported it to both the police and BT. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Just like loads of others have said, it was rubbish. I told the bloke I couldn't hear very well and asked him to speak a bit louder. It was quite funny because he actually did shout after that. Ended up hanging up on him when I asked how he manages to sleep at night. Best thing is to just ignore these lot.

This morning I got a ring from someone saying they were John from BT, saying my internet box was compromised. I said I couldn’t really follow what they were saying, then a bloke called Max took over the call. He told me to switch on my PC so he could prove I’d been hacked. I told them I’m keeping records of this call and will report it to the cops. After that, I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from some dodgy lot claiming they could fix my BT router if I just download this "teamviewer" thing. Played along and kept them chatting for ages, quite entertaining really.

I got a call from an Asian woman the other day, but she just hung up as soon as I began to sing a little tune for her. I was quite taken aback since I was actually crooning quite well! From the noise I could hear in the background, it sounded like she was calling from her house with all the hustle and bustle going on. I never got the chance to find out what the call was about.

Got a ring early morning on 15th April 2017 around 10am. They started off with the usual “how’s it going?” chat. I was about to say all good but got fed up with the routine and cut to the chase, asking what they wanted. The bloke, with a thick foreign accent, claimed to be from BT, saying there was something wrong with the router BT provided me. He then went on saying I had another “device” alongside my router and needed to inspect both. Total rubbish, honestly. Can’t believe anyone falls for these scams, but since they keep calling, I guess some must.

My mum got a call on her home phone from someone saying they were from the tech team, warning her that her internet might be in trouble. Since mum's been unwell lately, I answered and told them we actually don't have internet and asked them to quit calling. We do have internet, though. These calls have been coming often recently, so I'll try to block the number to stop her being pestered.

Totally obvious scammers, and not very polite either. I got a call with a really strong, high-pitched Middle Eastern accent warning me my line would be cut off in a few days because of hackers. Then he asked how close I was to my exchange - which I had to clarify he meant my router. After that, he asked if I was Mr. 'landlord’s name'. When I said no, instead of asking why, he straight up called me a liar. I ended the call after telling him off for accusing me like that. If he’d got what he wanted, I’m pretty sure they planned to get me to read info from the back of my router so the actual hackers could break in through it.

They repeated my phone number (the one they were calling from). Then they told me to ring them back on a number to “verify” they were from BT, but it could have been fake. I told them I suspected a scam and refused to share any info to avoid getting hacked. After that, they actually accused me of being the hacker, so I just ended the call.

I just received a rather alarming call from this number, claiming they were going to disconnect our internet for a full day due to numerous foreign individuals attempting to access our website. I repeatedly inquired about his identity, and he insisted he was with the Head Office of BT. I pointed out that a BT engineer is scheduled to visit this afternoon to inspect our line. Surprisingly, he denied this was the case and, when I affirmed that the engineer would indeed be coming, he abruptly hung up. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Got two calls from this number today. The first time I just told them they must think I’d fallen off the back of a lorry, then hung up. When they called again later, I fibbed and said my husband, who’s a software engineer, would have a word with them if they rang back tonight. Then I just ended the call.
