Like others have said, I got a call from an Asian woman claiming to be from telephone preference. She wanted me to confirm my name, address, phone number and then shockingly mentioned the last few digits of my debit card! That’s when I completely lost it and told her to delete all my info because I’m not paying them anything. I also demanded to know where they got my details from, but she dodged the question. I kept insisting they remove my data and suddenly the line went dead. It’s really worrying knowing they have bits of my card info when I never gave it to them. Definitely don’t pick up if you get this call.

I got a call from a bloke, Asian I think, who said he was Sam Williams from TPS. He wanted my card expiry date but already knew my name. I refused to give any info, and he ended up getting quite annoyed, asking if I didn't trust him. I told him straight up, no. Then he went on telling me to “madam, go and get your card details now!” Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Some bloke called me asking who I was, so I asked who he was first. Claimed he was from Microsoft, sounded like he had an Asian accent, couldn't tell if it was South Asian or South East Asian. When I told him I only trust proper folks, not scammers pretending to be Microsoft, he told me off for my language! He hung up real quick after that.

Received a call from this number today and there was nothing but silence. Strangely enough, I got another notification shortly afterwards stating, "you were called...but we haven't got the caller's number." This happened on the 15th of June 2016. Quite baffling, really!

Over the past three days, this number has phoned me nine times, with four of those calls coming just today. I picked up once, and it was an Asian guy who was really pushy, saying he was calling from the Telephone Preference Service. He claimed my old registration had just expired and that he needed to re-enrol me for some newfangled service that blocks all junk calls, even from abroad. When I mentioned the call itself was pretty unwanted, he didn’t seem to get the joke and started getting a bit annoyed. Then he insisted on verifying my registration and wanted me to confirm the expiry date on my Visa card, which felt dodgy. I flat out refused and hung up.

I got a call from 002030191569, this guy called himself "Charles" and spoke with an Indian or Asian accent. He said he was ringing from "Telephone Friends Management". I've had a few calls like this before, ones claiming they worked for BT's computer fraud team, so I instantly thought it was a bit sketchy. When I asked what the call was about, he just ended the call straightaway.

I just got a call from a young Asian woman who said her name was Olivia. She started asking for my personal info and wanted me to confirm the expiry date on my bank card. I told her I didn’t have it with me. She kept pushing and said she’d ring me again in a couple of days. Apparently she already had all my info and just needed to make sure it was correct. Honestly, I nearly fell for it since I recently signed up for call blocking on both my landline and mobile.

Got a call today from someone with an East Asian accent who was trying to get me to confirm stuff they didn’t even have right. I asked them for their number, but they said they'd only share it if I gave them my info first! Tonight I had a ring from some call centre pretending to be from the telephone preference service. They asked if I was still getting annoying calls and wanted to update their records. Got a call earlier today from this number, a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was calling to help me avoid spam calls. Looks like one of those calls trying to get you to confirm your info so they can filter out spam calls. He asked for my husband originally, but I said "this is he," and he carried on chatting with me. I wasn't about to give any details over the phone, and he kept pushing for confirmation to prove he was speaking to the right person. If he really needed to confirm my identity, he should've asked more to speak to my husband instead of just settling with me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be TPS, asking for my debit card info. The bloke gave a very English name, but you could tell from his heavy South Asian accent (maybe Indian or Pakistani) that it was dodgy. Just so you know, the international dialing code ++20 is Egypt and ++203 is Alexandria. Feels like these are just some illegal immigrants trying to make a quick dishonest buck.
