Once again, this number's been calling and then just hanging up straight away without saying a word - same as it did yesterday and the day before. As far as I can tell, this is about the eighth time now that it’s happened. I’m guessing there’s way more calls like this, but my landline only keeps the most recent missed call saved, so I can’t be sure. It’s a bit frustrating having the phone ring and then nothing at all.

I've just got my second call from Egypt in under a day, and once more it was just dead silence before they hung up. I’m not bothering to call back, same feeling as yesterday - these are pure scammers without a doubt!!!!!!!

Got a call from Egypt again, but it was one of those quiet hang up ones. I usually just let my voicemail handle unknown numbers so I can decide if I want to bother answering. Honestly, I never bother calling back if it’s a silent call or they don’t say who they are.

This number rings all the time. A while back I answered and it was one of those 'we can repair your computer' cons. Today they called me twice, once at 7:30 in the morning and then again at 7:50. I answered the second call and told them I’d be reporting it, then I hung up. Not even a minute later, they called right back. Honestly, so bold!

Got loads of calls from this number over the last week. When I eventually answered, a lady with a thick accent from what sounded like a call centre overseas was on the line. She claimed there was a virus on my computer and asked me to switch it on so they could sort it out. I told her I wasn’t following what she said and said straight out she was trying to scam me. She kept pushing, but I warned her to stop calling me or I’d report them and then hung up. Turns out the calls were coming from Egypt.

This number keeps ringing me up saying there’s a problem with my computer and claiming to be from some sort of “Windows support.” I decided to have a bit of fun and asked if she worked for Microsoft, which clearly she didn’t, and she got all flustered and lost her usual spiel. She tried telling me to “listen,” but I just told her I wasn’t interested and kept calling her a scammer over and over till she finally hung up. Honestly, the best thing is to make them hang up first to keep safe.

We’ve been getting calls from this number pretty much nonstop, like 10 times every day. We run a home care service focusing on end-of-life support, so our phone has to be open for urgent stuff. The first time they rang, I told them we weren’t interested, but now they just call and hang up without saying a word! It’s really frustrating.

Got a call at 7.15am and then another one at 11.27am on 15/5/18, same old story about my computer being about to crash. When I asked where they were calling from, the lady said Victoria. Problem is, the area code matched Egypt, so I just told them to buzz off. If they ring again, I’m just gonna stay quiet and wait to see what they do. Just a heads up, Microsoft never calls you out of the blue like that.

This number rang me like three times today but I didn’t pick up, it just went straight to voicemail without any messages. I got intrigued so I phoned it back this evening only to hear a never-ending beep. After that, I looked the number up and saw loads of similar stories shared by others.

They’ve rung me about three times now, around 7.30, then 11.30, and again at 1.30. I just let it go to voicemail because I don’t pick up unless I recognise the number. Honestly, why isn’t anything being done about this? It’s not just this number, loads of others keep doing the same. It’s beyond annoying, feels like harassment. Someone needs to deal with these nuisance callers properly!

I hadn’t picked up this number before, but when I did this morning, some woman said there was a problem with my computer and claimed to be from Windows. She went on about how she could fix it if I just switched my computer on. I told her I hadn’t even used it for a week and was pretty sure it was some sort of scam. I just told her to find herself a real job and hung up.

Got a call from this number this morning around 7.40, but I couldn’t catch most of what was said. They seemed to want me to turn my computer on or something. Told them I don’t even own a computer. Then the lady said maybe someone else in the house has one. I told her I live alone. After that she just hung up without another word.

What a total scam! They tried to get my mum, who’s 95, to hand over her bank details so this woman could “fix” my husband’s computer remotely. She claimed she just needed a couple hundred quid, nothing more. Luckily, I have power of attorney and keep all mum’s banking stuff locked away upstairs, so she didn’t fall for it. Mum’s got dementia, so it could’ve been a disaster. Seriously, block this number - these lot are up to no good!

Got called a couple of times this morning by people speaking with those annoying foreign accents, and there was loads of noise in the background too. Proper frustrating as we were under the impression we’d blocked all those scam calls. Surely it’s about time the big phone companies stepped up and sorted this out. If you see a UK number you don’t recognise, just don’t pick up. It’ll save you a load of bother.

Just like others said, I got calls several times this morning from someone saying she’s from Windows. I kept asking where she was calling from and mentioned GDPR and wanted to speak to her boss, then she just dropped the call. It’s crazy how they’re allowed to keep doing this. Makes me worry about older folks who might believe them.

Since early this morning, about 7:45, this number has buzzed my phone like 5 times. I finally picked up, and some bloke with an Indian accent said he was calling from Windows IT support, claiming I was neglecting updates on my PC. I told him I don’t even have a computer, and he just kept repeating what I said back to me before hanging up on me! What a strange call.

Got two calls today from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from Microsoft support. She claimed my computer was stopping updates from installing and asked to connect to my PC to fix it. I told her there’s no Windows machine in the house at all, which seemed to throw her off. When I pressed her on how she even got my number, she fumbled and couldn’t give a believable explanation. In the end, she just hung up. Sounds like just another Windows phishing trick to me!

Got a call early last week, round about 7 in the morning, someone saying I was visiting dodgy websites on my computer... I told them a few choice words in good old Anglo-Saxon. Today, they've rung me twice before 8, once at 6 and again just before 7. It sounded like some voice-activated thing, so I said nothing and the line just dropped.

But today, I answered and a lady on the line claimed she was from the Windows operating system team, saying I'd ignored multiple alerts.
