Got a call from 001992575168 saying my account had issues and to hit 1 to fix it. Seemed fishy to me.

I got a call from a US number with an Indian accent saying she was from visa security. She claimed £600 had been taken from my account but had no real details about me. She wanted me to get online so she could guide me through fixing it. I told her I thought it was a scam and that I’d contact visa myself. She really pushed for me to follow her instructions, but when I refused, she just ended the call. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

Another one of those silent calls just came through. Starting to get pretty nervous every time the phone rings now.

Just got a call saying my Visa had an emergency, like £600 got taken out or something. They told me to press 1 if it was me. Absolute rubbish, these dodgy calls are so sketchy. It’s really scary for older folk or anyone who ain’t tech savvy. Wish the authorities would do something about these scamming muppets.
