Got a random call out the blue. There’s always that awkward pause then some bloke with a thick Indian accent begins with the usual nonsense. Claimed he was from the TPS and could stop annoying calls for me. I told him straight up he was a con and ended the call. These lot are just after your bank info so they can clean out your account. Honestly, if folks didn’t fall for this crap, they’d quit, right?

I got called by an Asian guy and when I told him he was just a nuisance call, he basically told me to get lost. Proper rude!

He claimed to be from the telephone preference service, said I was registered with TPS to block annoying calls. I just replied, "Well, seems it's not stopping your calls," and ended the call.

I dialled 1471 to see who was calling. They ended up ringing my 87 year old dad, and he thought they said “your daughter has died”. When he asked them to clarify which daughter, they just cut off the call. It’s mad that businesses can just pass on private info about their clients to others like this. The government needs to step in and put a stop to this nonsense.

I've gotten calls from this number around eight times already. Whenever I answer and they don't say anything, I just stay on the line. As soon as I ask why they're calling so much, they just hang up.

Got a call on my phone on the 7th Jan 2020 at around 1:55pm from +1(984)234-7017, which said it was from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I didn't pick up and no voicemail was left - seemed like a total scam to me.

My daughter got a really annoying call from this number. The person on the other end claimed we were constantly getting harassing calls and that they could block them for us. When we asked who exactly they were and what the call was about, they started being rude and abusive. We found the number by dialling 1471.
