6 yearsNoticed this odd long number on my phone and just figured it was a spam or sales call, so I let it ring out. Strange thing though, they left a voicemail that sounded like a pocket dial or someone chatting in the background, a woman talking about sending a message to someone else. After reading others' experiences here, I’m going to block it too. Cheers to everyone for sharing! Seems like I dodged a worse one.6 yearsBleedin Microsoft scammers, what a load of rubbish!Microsoft6 yearsHad a call this morning bright and early, some bloke said he was Michael from Microsoft or something. I told him it felt a bit dodgy and just hung up straight away.MichaelMicrosoft6 yearsGot a call early at like 8 in the morning, and the person just shouted "hello" really loudly, then threw in a swear word calling me an idiot or something, before slamming the phone down. Proper rude!6 yearsI picked up at about 8:15 in the morning, but there was nothing on the other end so I ended the call. Just a heads up - when I tried to block the number, it popped up once more on my phone. I quickly ended it again before finally managing to block it properly. Be cautious!6 yearsGot a call from this number, with a guy saying he was from Microsoft Tech Support. He actually knew my full name and address, which was a bit creepy. He wanted me to get on my computer and do some stuff to fix supposed hacks on it, but I didn’t fall for it. He introduced himself as ‘James Carter’, but his accent definitely wasn’t local. Felt like a classic scam to me. Watch out if you get a call like this!MicrosoftJames Carter6 yearsI got a call around 8:15 in the morning but when I answered, nobody picked up so I just ended the call. Since my caller ID showed a strange lengthy number, I just assumed it was another scam.6 yearsThis morning my phone rang and the number looked dodgy, so I just blocked it straight away on my new handset. After reading the reviews, I reckon it’s probably one of those well-known Indian call centres that scam folks - I saw a BBC Panorama episode about them once. Best not to answer or fall for their nonsense about paying for firewalls. Instead, pick up a legit antivirus like McAfee or something similar from a shop or online. Cheers.BBC Panorama6 yearsSomebody said they were from Microsoft. When I ended the call, they phoned back wanting to know why I had cut them off.Microsoft6 yearsI got a call really early in the morning from a number I didn’t recognise; as soon as I picked up, they just ended the call right away. Strange behaviour!6 yearsThey keep ringing first thing in the morning, but since we don't pick up, they just hang up without leaving any message. Honestly, I can’t see any reason why they’d be calling us.Submit Your Own Report (980629240)
