I got a call earlier and the person on the line had a strong Indian/Asian accent that I just couldn’t understand. At one bit, they mentioned something about BT and a computer, but honestly, I just hung up right then. Sounds like it was probably some sort of scam or hacker trying to get info.

This number rang me twice on May 11th and 12th in 2017, with different voices each time, supposedly from BT. Both callers spoke with a pretty strong accent that sounded Asian. They said there was an issue with my internet and asked me to note down a code, which seemed like a regular system code to me. They also gave a UK contact number to dial back, 0203 497 1846, and an employee ID, J8651, to prove they were legit. Of course, I didn’t fall for it. BT later confirmed they had no connection to those calls.

Some guy rang saying he was from the BT tech team, started by asking how I was. I told him we don’t use BT and just ended the call straight away.

Some bloke with a weird accent called claiming to be from some tech support place, I just hung up straight away.

Some guy called saying there was an issue with my internet and asked me to jot down a code. Then he said I gotta switch on my PC so he could link the code to my internet or something... I just ended the call right there.
