Just got a dodgy phone call pretending to be from BT. They told me to get on my computer and visit a certain website to download some software. Not 100% sure what the plan was, but it definitely felt like a scam. Watch out, folks!

On Thursday 10th August around 3pm, I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent. He asked if I was Mrs so-and-so. I answered in my low voice, saying “No, I’m not,” and he just went quiet and hung up straightaway. Proper annoying!

Got a call from 0019529411977, some bloke pretending to be a Windows tech about my computer. I said all my devices are Apple and had no clue where he got my details from. Asked him to take my name off whatever list he's using and he hung up straight away. Seems like a total scam to me.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, said he was from Windows tech support and that they’d spotted strange stuff going on with my internet. He asked for me by my name. I told him he himself was the weird activity and hung up, said goodbye sharpish. This wasn’t the first time I’d had one of these calls. I even checked the number using 1471 - it came up as 0019529411977.

Some bloke with a really strong Indian/Pakistani accent called me, loads of buzzing and noise in the background just like others mentioned here. He said he was from Windows tech support, worried about errors popping up on my PC. This has happened loads of times before - I just ended the call straightaway.

some bloke who called himself "wayne" (with a strange tone) claimed he was from the “vindows support team”. he said my pc was sending out “errors and warnings” and apparently the company had been informed. when i asked for their office location, he gave a london address, but it wasn’t listed anywhere with microsoft or windows. also, no phone number to call back was provided.

Hey everyone, just had a ring from some bloke called William - typical Pakistani name. He claimed to be with BT internet support and wanted a word with the primary internet user. Told him she’s out and won’t be home for a while. He hung up sharply, muttering in his own language. Seriously, BT, you need to train your overseas staff better! Haha, no surprises here, probably just another scammer trying to get into my PC. If he calls again, I’m gonna be very rude with him. Haha!

Hey everyone. Just had a ring from bloke called William, a pretty common name over in Pakistan. He claimed he was with BT internet services and wanted to chat to the primary internet user. I told him she wasn’t around and wouldn’t be back for a bit, then he hung up abruptly, mumbling stuff I couldn’t understand. Honestly, if BT is gonna have overseas staff, they really need to train them better. πŸ˜‚ Pretty clear this was just another dodgy scammer trying to get into my PC. If he calls again, I’ll give him a proper telling off. Haha!
