Upon picking up, I was greeted solely by a robotic voice bidding farewell.

I got a call around midday, no one answered but I could faintly hear dishes being washed in the background! I ended the call, but apparently it didn’t disconnect properly on their side cause my phone stayed linked for a few more mins. Proper frustrating.

Got a call from a lady claiming she was from TPS management, telling me I’d stop getting nuisance calls, even from abroad. I’m already on the list, but it only seems to help with UK call centres. Are these jerks really dialing from the US or just routing through it? I asked if there’d be any charges, and she said no. Then I had to dash to the loo, so I just ended the call.

On the 1st of August 2018, I answered a call from this number and, lo and behold, a chap claiming to be John spoke to me. His manner was rather stilted, as though he was merely reciting some rehearsed lines. He was prattling on about how to prevent unsolicited calls. I cut him off and blocked the number before he could complete his spiel. I’m absolutely knackered by these incessant interruptions-it's high time we found a definitive solution to these pesky calls without having to resort to these tiresome tactics!

Glad my call blocker worked when this number rang, stopped the call from coming through. Definitely a scam. I really feel sorry for anyone who’s not so tech savvy, especially older folks and others who might be more vulnerable. These scammers are really despicable, they’ll try every trick to steal personal info and make money off innocent people.

This bloke rang up claiming to be John and asked how I was doing, but I just stayed quiet. There was a long pause then he began saying he worked for some phone preference firm that stops annoying calls. I shot back with ‘like this one then?’ and he went all rude, saying he’d slap my face. We couldn’t stop laughing at him and just hung up after that.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the Number Blocking or Caller Preference team or whatever it was - barely made any sense. They wanted me to put my number on a list to block annoying calls. I just told them straight up THIS IS A NUISANCE CALL, THANKS BUT NO THANKS, and hung up. I figured there might be a charge for it anyway, so didn’t bother sticking around to ask. We’ve had caller preference stuff for ages but it doesn’t stop these scammy lot, they just keep switching their phone numbers all the time.

Honestly, just ignore them, block the number, and definitely don’t share your card info - they’re just targeting older people!

When mum asked about the card, the caller mentioned it was in my dad’s name, who sadly died two years ago, so it felt quite fishy. Just got a ring from this number earlier. Funny thing is, every call we get goes straight to voicemail, so the scammers just hang up right away. If it’s someone legit, they either leave a message or actually talk. So these phone con artists are basically just wasting their own time - they ain’t ever getting through to us. Received a ring from this number earlier, woman with an Asian accent asked for me by name. I asked her who was on the line, but couldn’t make out what she said. I told her to shove off in a not very polite way, and she shot back with some rude words too. Really makes you wonder why these folks put up with abuse doing such jobs. Feels like they’re being forced into it by some dodgy bosses. Sadly, BT’s call blocker won’t block this number as it doesn’t register it. Received a call claiming my computer was riddled with errors! They insisted I check my router and then power up my PC. I wasn’t really in the mood for it, so I told them I wasn’t interested and promptly added the number to my BT call blocker.

I've been getting calls from this number non stop. I tried to block it using my BT Call Protect, but it doesn't even register as a valid number on their system. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!

got a call from this number but no voicemail left. since we’ve been bombarded with calls like this, we’ve just decided to ignore our phone altogether now. our answerphone picks up after two rings. if it’s someone legit and they drop a message, we’ll reply. otherwise, it’s just pointless. not worth my time at all.
