Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying BT’s gonna cut my internet off for a couple of weeks. I just let him go on for like 5 minutes then told him it was complete nonsense. After that, he got all rude and said he’d ring me back. I’ve blocked the number now.

In just a couple of hours, I've already been hit with four scam calls. Seriously, what's the deal here? This last one was from BT, which makes it extra worrying because folks could easily think it’s legit. With all the recent hacks and people’s Wi-Fi being compromised, these scams feel even more believable. Why is nothing being done to stop this? It’s turning into a full-time hassle having to block and check every single number. The whole phone system feels pointless now if it’s just a channel for scams. To be clear, I don’t know anyone with this number.

Got a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent, said she was from BT. She claimed my internet was going to be disconnected because of hackers or something. I wasn’t having any of it and told her to shove off.

some foreign woman from bt tech support called me, saying my computer had problems and was being hacked. it was really hard making sense of what she was saying. i didnt fall for it and just told her to leave me alone! total scam if you ask me.

Got a call from a lady who sounded like she was from abroad, saying she was with BT tech support. She told me my internet was compromised and offered to fix it. I asked her how she even got my number since I’m not a BT customer. I hinted she might be the one doing the hacking, and then she just cut the call.

ive had this number ring me 4 different times but every time i pick up, theres just silence on the other end.

Some lady rang claiming to be from BT tech support, saying our internet would be cut off for a whole week. She asked if we knew about it, I told her no. Then she said it’d only take a moment to sort if I logged on, but I just declined and she ended the call. Sounds like another dodgy scam to me.

If this was legit BT, they’d surely already know if we actually had any internet to begin with.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from B.T and warned about possible broadband and phone line disruptions. I just asked him to tell me the dates and then he went quiet and ended the call. Bit strange if you ask me.
