Got a call from this number on 30/7/15 at about 8:35 in the evening BST. Didn’t pick up so I checked with 1471 and rang it back. The message said the number isn’t active anymore. Bit relieved I didn’t answer it.

I’ve been getting these calls like three times daily ever since I handed my number over to a moving firm, clearly they sold it on. I’ve blocked it on my BT8500 phone. Also been getting calls from 02082621858, looks like the same sort of scam with the computer. Honestly, getting caller ID and blocking these numbers is the best thing I did - now it doesn’t even ring but I can still see who tried calling.

I just let those suspicious long numbers ring and ring without picking up. After that, I look them up online, and if they seem like scammers (which they mostly are), I jot the number down on a bit of paper next to my phone. That way, I never bother answering, and they can't tell if the number is real or not. Hopefully, they get the hint and stop calling when no one ever replies.

0019372470349 called me three times today. Each time, it started with some music, then the bloke with an Indian accent said he was from Microsoft the first time, but on the other two calls he claimed to be from some IT firm called Expert. He kept telling me my laptop was infected with a harmful virus. Definitely hang up on these, it’s all a total scam.

00193742470349. Got a call from a guy with a really British sounding name but he was clearly Indian. He said my computer and OS were registered with them and claimed I had a virus. Told him there was no chance my computer was infected, then he switched to saying it was a major software issue. He got quite pushy when I said I wouldn't let him access my pc and even threatened to hack it anyway! Really hope folks arent falling for these nasty scams and getting bullied.

Had a couple of calls today. First one ended straight away when I asked for their company number so I could verify it through Companies House. The second call was cut off as soon as I mentioned that for them to know about the 'virus' they’d have to have broken into my computer, which is illegal and could land them with a fine personally.

@lady with an indian accent. she said she needed to talk about my computer. I told her my computer's working perfectly, Norton is protecting it and my son works in IT. she just hung up. I'm really fed up with these annoying calls and feel sorry for people who fall for these crooks. maybe the long silence at the start is them waiting for you to say something so they know it’s safe to start their scam.

Had the exact same thing happen loads of calls in the past day. They had Asian accents, said they were from Microsoft and that my computer’s Windows was infected with something nasty. Told me to get on my computer with them. I’ve ended the call like 6 times now. Really unsettling stuff.

Got a rude bloke callin with an Indian accent, spoke good English too. Said he was from Microsoft, wanted to get into my computer. Threatened to cancel my license if I didn’t comply. This number’s been buzzin me non-stop for weeks but never actually picks up when I answer.

Had a look at my call list - my BT8500 must’ve blocked it on its own, without me hearing a thing.

I get calls just as often but no one ever answers on the other side, or if they do, they’re way too slow to talk so I end up hanging up. If someone ever does pick up, I reckon I’ll start saying “hello, hello, can anyone hear me?” just to see how they react - must be quite funny! Wish I had a clue how to block these calls properly, I’ve signed up for those do not call lists but these dodgy firms somehow get around them.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying his name was Steve Smith and he was from some firm called 'PC EXPERTZ'. He told me the address was 146 Banchory Road, Oxford OX14 T2, Oxfordshire. He said he had our laptop's IP and that it was running slow, wanted to access it to check the system speed. I ended the call nicely. Later looked it up online and found out it’s a total SCAM! Never give them any info, no matter what they say!

TOTAL SCAM. after a while they tell you to remove stuff from your PC or push you to pay for their program which costs like £199.99.

Got a call from this number twice in about 20 mins, didn’t pick up. I hardly ever use my landline since basically everyone contacts me on my mobile. Normally I just let it ring out then look up the number online afterwards. Glad I did this time, some of the reviews here actually make sense.

Got one call from an Asian woman claiming my PC was infected. I told her I worked for Microsoft (which I don't) and she hung up straight away. Best thing is not to share any details or even talk to these muppets. I’ve saved the number as SCAM on my landline. Why should I pay to block these scumbags when they’re basically little criminals?

They say they’re from Microsoft on some calls, then say windows support or computer help on others. Really pushy - they ring me up about 8 times every day between 10:30 in the morning and 9:20 at night. I’ve reported this scam to actionfraud online and mentioned I’d report each call to the UK police fraud team. It’s pretty easy to see the number 0019372470349 is from Ohio, USA.

This number has rang me a few times, always someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. Today, I had a laugh and told them I run a scam pretending to be Microsoft tech support too, maybe we should team up. They hung up straight away! Before, when the guy callers got rumbled, they got pretty rude and abusive. Sad to say, I know an elderly relative who was conned into handing over a few hundred quid. Is there any way to put a stop to these scammers?

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me claiming to be from computer tech support. If it was legit, they'd have sent an email first. When I told him I didn’t have a computer (which isn’t true!), he just hung up straight away. Apparently, they try to get remote access to your device and nick your personal info to get into your bank accounts and stuff. Just be firm and say you don’t own a computer, don’t fall for it. If it were Microsoft, they wouldn’t contact you like that!

Got a call from an Indian woman claiming my computer was hacked and she could fix it. Yeah, right! Total scammers - steer clear. I’ve blocked the number already. Honestly, I’d suggest investing in a call blocker, they’re definitely worth it. When I called her out for being a liar and a fraud, she just hung up.

Got a call from an Indian woman with a strong accent. She said some malicious files were sent to my computer without me knowing. Also said they have a licence for my operating system. I get quite a few calls every day from this number, but it always looks a bit suspicious on my caller ID so I just ignore them. They never bother to leave a voicemail either. Got a call from an asian woman claiming her firm said my PC had viruses and malware. I told her my computer was perfectly alright and maybe her company’s system was the one infected and they should really check it out. Hopefully this stops them wasting cash on pointless calls.

Like loads of others, I get loads of calls every day from this number. Just now, they've rung me eight times on my ex-directory number which is on the TPS list. I only got one voicemail and it was just someone saying "hello?". These callers are really annoying and I'm planning to get BT to block them and report it to TPS. Honestly, folks nowadays aren't really safe from scammers, and it's hard to stop these calls from getting through. Stay sharp out there!

Been out for a couple days and this foreign number called me over a dozen times. Today, someone with an Asian accent phoned, claiming there was a problem with my computer. I told them straight, in a nice but short way, that it was a scam and I’ve got a local IT pro to handle things. They hung up right away. Don’t fall for it - they’re just after your computer info and bank details.

This number keeps ringing my phone multiple times a day, and the moment I answer, they just drop the call. I reckon its a trick to make folks ring them back, and I've heard it might connect you to some expensive premium line. Lucky for me, my landline isn’t set up for international calls anyway!
