4 yearsMy mum got a call about some Prudential shares that belonged to her late husband. They claimed they were willing to pay almost double what the shares are worth right now, but first she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. They even got her email to send it over. We've got the NDA back now, but it still doesn’t really explain why they’re contacting us, and the email seems to be from a private equity firm based out of New York City. Pretty odd, if you ask me.NDANew York City4 yearsGot a call yesterday evening about Sainsbury shares, they said they could get more than the asking price. Then they wanted me to complete some confidential paperwork. Definitely feels like one of those bank scams to me.Sainsbury4 yearsSome caller rang up wanting to talk about shares, but we don’t actually have any. When I asked how they got her info, they just wouldn’t explain. Told them to send their inquiry in writing and that seemed to shut them up pretty quickly!4 yearsThis number 0019292301116 rang me trice. First time, they brought up my nan, who’s been gone for yonks now. Then on the next call, they wanted to chat to the daughter - my mum, who’s quite old and got really upset about it. By the third ring, I finally picked up and asked who was calling. I let rip with a load of swear words just to see if they’d take it. Turns out, they shot back swearing at me too, so I cut the call and unplugged the phone. Afterwards, they left a voicemail that was nothing but music. Proper sad and pathetic behaviour, if you ask me.4 yearsThe first call came through around 8.30, i ignored it. Then they rang back at exactly noon, and when i picked up, it was some american guy.
