My mum got a call about some Prudential shares that belonged to her late husband. They claimed they were willing to pay almost double what the shares are worth right now, but first she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. They even got her email to send it over. We've got the NDA back now, but it still doesn’t really explain why they’re contacting us, and the email seems to be from a private equity firm based out of New York City. Pretty odd, if you ask me.

Got a call yesterday evening about Sainsbury shares, they said they could get more than the asking price. Then they wanted me to complete some confidential paperwork. Definitely feels like one of those bank scams to me.

Some caller rang up wanting to talk about shares, but we don’t actually have any. Quite odd really!

Got a call from a lady who sounded like she was just reading off a sheet about some centrica shares offer. Didn’t catch the whole thing, but seemed pretty scammy.

Got a call from someone with an American accent, asking for my wife about some Boots shares she supposedly owns, which she certainly doesn't. When I asked how they got her info, they just wouldn’t explain. Told them to send their inquiry in writing and that seemed to shut them up pretty quickly!

This number 0019292301116 rang me trice. First time, they brought up my nan, who’s been gone for yonks now. Then on the next call, they wanted to chat to the daughter - my mum, who’s quite old and got really upset about it. By the third ring, I finally picked up and asked who was calling. I let rip with a load of swear words just to see if they’d take it. Turns out, they shot back swearing at me too, so I cut the call and unplugged the phone. Afterwards, they left a voicemail that was nothing but music. Proper sad and pathetic behaviour, if you ask me.

The first call came through around 8.30, i ignored it. Then they rang back at exactly noon, and when i picked up, it was some american guy. I wasn’t very polite, had a proper mouth at them! After that, they kept ringing nonstop just to annoy me. These lot really should be investigated. Complete nightmare - do they honestly believe we’re mugs or what?

Got a call from a US number saying something about Centrica shareholders and some claim action. Didn’t go any further with it but I’m pretty sure they were gonna ask for my bank info. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

It was really hard to make out who it was, they kept jabbering on about shares I’ve never owned. I just pretended to be interested, but they just ended up cutting me off.

Got a call from some bloke called 'Ronald' who was on about shares that don't even exist. As soon as I told him I wasn't interested, he just ended the call.
