Heads up, these calls are definitely scams. They’ll try to trick you into letting them control your computer remotely. Don’t let them fool you - they usually haven’t got a clue about your name or any account details. Stay careful!

Got two calls today 16-09-20 at 08:51. The first one was a woman with an asian accent saying she was from talktalk. She told me someone was trying to hack into my broadband and asked me to turn on my computer coz of a detected issue. I told her I didn’t have any problems and she just hung up on me. Then the phone rang again not long after but when I answered there was only some automated message saying goodbye. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

All I heard was some background noise, no one talking, then the call just ended. I decided to block the number straight away.

On 20/09/19 this number called me twice, but before that, on 17/09/16, it had already rung me five times. The number was 0019197065736.
