A lot of folks on here don’t seem too great at writing properly, often sending these huge walls of text with barely any punctuation. Maybe that’s why some things get mixed up. Before jumping to the conclusion that a call from an Asian call centre is a con, remember it might just be a UK utility company outsourcing to save time, even if it feels like they couldn’t care less about your patience.

For a few days straight, I kept gettin calls with no one talkin and no message left. Really odd.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be with the telephone preference service. They rattled off my number, where I live, how I pay my phone bill, and even said my card is due to expire at the end of June. When they asked me to verify this stuff, I just hung up straight away. Planning to report it to actionfraud.police.uk like it says on the official TPS site.

This number, 0019194784466, called me twice today. When I answered, there was no one talking and after a bit it just kept ringing until I ended the call. Didn’t wanna risk any charges so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Had a couple of calls from +1 919 478 4466 today. The first time I answered, they hung up right away without saying anything. Then another call came through that I didn't pick up. I tried ringing back and got some kind of automated service, like it’s always active or something. Feels like if they catch you wise to their scam, they just bother you more for no good reason. I've had a few calls from this same number before, all the same nonsense others have mentioned. Best to just ignore them and doubt who they claim to be.

Just had a call from someone claiming to be from the Microsoft Tech team. They tried to convince me my computer was riddled with viruses so I decided to give them a taste of my vocabulary. Then, out of nowhere, the bloke threatened to do something awful to my daughter. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind crossing paths with him face to face one day.

They've called me repeatedly this morning, at least three times. I didn’t pick up since it seemed dodgy, probably a scam, and no message was left on my voicemail. When I tried calling the number back, it went through fine but I hung up straight away since it wasn’t a toll-free call. Cheers to the people who posted info about this earlier!

Got a call from some Asian call centre claiming there was an issue with my windows computer. I told them my windows just had glass in them, nothing to do with a computer. Not long after, the line went dead.

They told me my computer was infected with a virus. Honestly, I wish I could send a virus their way - one that wouldn’t do any harm but just to scare them a bit!
