I got a call from this number, +923161669542, where the person told me I'd won 50,000 pounds in some Lyca Mobile lottery. They insisted I needed to set up a Barclays Bank account right away. When I checked the website they gave me, it led to another number, <0019188444479>. This has scam written all over it. Watch out and don't fall for it!

Got a call from someone claiming I’d won the Lycamobile Lottery, sounded fishy right away. They wanted my details to send the prize, but I knew it was just a scam trying to get info. Anyone else had this happen? Watch out, it’s definitely not legit!

This is a scam. The people phoning might try to lure you into calling a premium number that racks up crazy charges, keeping you on hold so the cost climbs fast. Sometimes they’ll say you’ve won a prize but need to pay a ‘release fee’ first - don’t fall for that. After you cough up the cash, they’ll likely cut contact and you won’t see any winnings. They could even ring back asking for more money. Also, they might try to fool you by sharing just part of a SIM card number - don’t let it fool you!
