Got a call from some "Windows support" lad who barely spoke any English properly. He kept bugging me to turn on my Windows PC so he could "show" me the problem. When I told him it was a scam, he didn’t seem to get it and just kept pestering me to switch it on and describe what I saw. I was a bit bored, so I just played along for a while until he eventually gave up. A few days ago, another bloke phoned with the same trick, and when I called it out as a scam, he started cussing at me, calling me all sorts! Honestly, some people have no clue.

Got a call from an Asian guy, sounded about 19. He said my computer was infected and that it was sending out messages every time I went online. I played along and acted really worried, asking what I needed to do and where to send the money. Then he got rude and started telling me off, saying what I should do with myself! Funny enough, he didn’t hide his number, but when I tried calling it back, no one picked up. Pretty annoying!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent earlier, claimed he was from Microsoft tech support about Windows manager. Told him to bugger off right away!

Had a call from an Asian guy today saying he was from Windows support. He wanted to know if I was at my computer, to which I said yes, I am a software engineer after all. After that, the line just went dead, which wasn’t very surprising! Honestly, folks, don’t follow what they tell you - it’s a well-known scam to get your personal and bank info. Stay alert and keep yourself safe!

Got a ring earlier from this number, guy said he was from Microsoft Windows support. Sounded like he was overseas, and I could hear loads of chatter like a busy call centre behind him. He started on about "your Microsoft Windows computer" or something. I played along a bit, asking what kind of Microsoft Windows computer he'd mean. As soon as he twigged I wasn’t an old person easy to fool, he just hung up. Pretty dodgy scam if you ask me. The worst part is, the people who’d normally get caught out by this wouldn’t even know a site like this is here to warn them.

I was a bit suspicious when a guy with an Asian accent called, so I had to ask him twice who he was. He nervously told me it was something about a problem with my computer. I've had similar calls before from women with Asian accents, so I just hung up straight away.

A lady with a foreign accent rang, saying she was from Microsoft. She sounded a bit flustered when I asked what it was about. Then she claimed my computer had been downloading suspicious files. Before she could carry on, I told her straight away I knew it was a scam and that she should be ashamed. I ended the call there and then. If my dad, who’s 93 and hard of hearing, had picked up, he might’ve been tricked, but luckily I was at home to handle it.

Got a call from a man who said he was from Microsoft, claimed his name was Michael Cooper and that he was calling from London. The number didn’t show up under ‘last call’ which seemed odd. He mentioned he had my computer’s licence number and said there were issues he could assist with. I asked why he was calling, but he just said he’d ring back. Later on, the call went to an answering machine but no message was left. Honestly, I doubt this number is actually from London!

It was weird, I just picked up without thinking. I said hi and he said hi back, but when I said hi once more, he just stopped talking. So in the end, I just ended the call.

I got a call from someone with an accent that wasn’t local, saying they were from Windows tech support. Since I was waiting for a call from the hospital (which was legit), I told him to get lost. I then grabbed the US number he was calling from. Looks like a total scam to me. If they bother calling again, I’ll give them a proper earful!

Got the same call! Played along for a while but never followed his instructions. Then he started talking about hacking into my computer, and that’s when he just ended the call. Proper dodgy business!

I recently encountered a dodgy call claiming to be from Microsoft, attempting to gain remote access to my computer. It's quite shocking, really! Exercise caution, folks. My advice? Keep them chatting but give them a taste of their own medicine by playfully threatening to send a few burly lads their way if they persist!
