Claimed to be involved in cyber security for the entire internet and insisted that an unidentified foreign individual had hacked my system. He provided a code and urged me to switch on my computer so we could navigate through it together to reactivate my software licence. I made up a reason to end the call and dashed off.

I got a call earlier this evening, picked it up, but there was just silence on the other end until the line disconnected. Quite strange!

Got a call this arvo around 16:15 from someone with an Indian accent claiming they were from Microsoft, going on about some cyber security nonsense. I just kept saying yes to everything, pretending to be interested, and after a bit, they lost patience and told me to get lost before hanging up.

Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming to be "cyber security". My missus decided to have a bit of fun and called him a scammer. The guy got proper offended, saying stuff like "how can you say that?" and "I'll show you I'm legit!". We just blocked him after that. Made me chuckle!

Got a call around 7:30 pm from a number in the US. The person said they were with 'cyber security' but I just told them to buzz off and ended the call. Seems like this number has been bothering quite a few folks.

This number rang me up the other day and it was some bloke claiming to be from my local takeaway, then started going on about working for the 'world wide web'. I just listened for a bit, then ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, my missus picked up and tried to find out more about who he was. He wouldn’t say what company he was with, just claimed he worked for the ‘world wide web’ - which sounded a bit dodgy to us. My wife said she didn’t buy it and ended the call. But literally seconds later we got another ring from someone called ‘Frank Thomas’ on a different line (01617919793). I’ve made a note under that number about this call. Not sure if it’s a serious threat but getting called back that fast definitely feels like harassment.

I encountered an incredibly unpleasant gentleman from India who outright threatened to call me daily if I took his behaviour to the authorities.

They keep calling non stop but never say who they are. It's really annoying how they never give their name.

I got a call just before 6pm from a guy claiming he was from Windows - said his name was Justin and sounded like he was from India. Something felt dodgy straight away, so I just told him no thanks and ended the call.

I picked up the phone and greeted them, only for a woman with a distinctly American twang to respond with a curt “goodbye.”

This guy kept ringing me, said he was with some cyber security mob and claimed my IP address was causing trouble or something. I ended up cutting him off and he still phoned me back two more times after I told him to jog on.

They call me pretty much non stop, any time of day. Most times I pick up, they just put the phone down straight away. A couple of times I caught someone with an Indian accent asking loads of questions, and that’s when I decided to just cut the call.

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me, saying there was an issue with my computer. I told him I didn’t even own one, and then he threatened to call the police if he thought I was fibbing. I asked him to give me his number so I could ring back once I’d spoken to the police, but the number he gave me was completely different. Weird experience!

Got a call from an Indian bloke who already had all my info. Claimed he was part of some Crime Squad and said that crooks were using my computer for dodgy stuff!
