I kept asking if he was actually from BT and he just hung up on me, very impolite even though he already had all my information.

A bloke who said his name was 'Ricardo' rang me up and told me I could save money on my BT bill starting next month. But when I asked which company he was with, he just hung up straight away.

Got a call offering to lower my BT bill, pretty much the same as one I had a couple months ago. I told them BT just sent us a letter about prices going up, so I reckoned it was dodgy and ended the call right there.

Some joker rang my elderly dad and tried to swindle his bank info. It really shook him up, especially since my mum, who always dealt with that stuff, passed away recently. Proper scumbag move.

I got a call from someone with a heavy Indian accent who said they were from BT. They told me I could save about £60 every three months if I switched to direct debit. When they started wanting my bank info, I just hung up straight away.

This was a total scam, I didn’t share anything and just ended the call straight away. Don’t bother answering or telling them anything.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying my BT bill would be lower next month. They started asking about how much I usually pay and other stuff, but the call just dropped when they were questioning me about the type of calls I make. Seems really fishy to me. I’d never share personal info with cold callers, especially when it sounds like a scam.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent to my husband, saying we might save cash on our next phone bill. They asked if we used our landline much. When my husband asked about the cost, he said my wife sorts the bills. Then he wanted to talk to me, but when my husband said I wasn’t in, they just ended the call.

Got a call like the others mentioned here, with someone speaking with an Indian accent claiming it was about my BT service. I told them I don’t have BT and then just hung up.

Got a call from 0019095069661 earlier, but the line kept cutting out loads. They called me a few times though. The person sounded Indian and seemed to already know my name, my postcode, and even my street. They said I was with TalkTalk and asked for my bank info, saying they could lower my bill. I just hung up as soon as they started asking for money stuff.

The caller already had my postcode and name, trying to convince me that BT would offer cheaper line rental starting next month. I knew we were with TalkTalk though. I asked him straight away what the call was about and to stop beating around the bush. He kept checking if I was paying attention, but I told him I was - only that if he didn’t get to the point soon, I’d just hang up. Then he told me to "go away" and that was when I ended the call.
