Got a call from a lady called Kate, sounded American, telling me they’d taken $824 from my account. She said to press 1 to talk to a manager to get the cash back - felt like a total scam.

I got a voicemail from someone named Kate telling me my visa card was blocked because £230 was charged to it. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call from 0018889196141 earlier today.

Got a call from some American sounding computer voice, a woman called Kate saying she was from my bank. She claimed there was a £230 charge on my Visa card and that it’d been blocked. She told me to press 1 to get through to my bank. Thing is, I don't have any bank accounts in the US, so if she actually blocked my card, then great - hopefully that’ll stop these crooks trying to nick from me.
