I was just waking up around 8:25 when the phone buzzed, and I nearly ignored it. An Asian woman greeted me with a "good morning" and even knew my first name, which immediately put me off and I ended the call. They’ve attempted this Amazon scam on me a couple of times already, so these days I hardly ever pick up my landline.

This morning I got a ring from 001855952054 and all they did was ask for my name. Honestly, I wanted to give them a piece of my mind but ended up staying polite. Amazon could sort this out easily with their funds, but they don’t lift a finger. I’m on the Telephone Preference Service too, but it’s pointless with UK calls, let alone from abroad. Total waste, if you ask me.

Since I saw the number on my caller ID, I chose not to pick up. A while ago, I got a voicemail about cancelling Amazon Prime. I told my husband about it because the account is actually his, and he was already aware it was a scam.

They said they were going to take money from my Amazon Prime, but I don’t even have that account. After that, I got a quiet call on my landline. Pretty suspicious!

I got a call about an Amazon Prime subscription, but after chatting with Amazon directly, they said it wasn’t from them. Guess some folks might fall for it and end up sharing info that could be used for scams.

0018559520541 A woman rang me on my TPS-listed number, and honestly, it was shocking. She claimed she was from some place called Amazon, saying my account was overdue and that I’d face legal trouble unless I handed over my credit card info. I don’t own a credit card, and I’ve never had anything to do with Amazon, never even set up an account! I told her to get her facts straight before hassling someone on a number specially marked as restricted. And to top it off, she didn’t even say thank you for correcting her. Politeness clearly isn’t her strong point. What a cheek!

they wanted to talk to the owner of the company but didnt have a clue who that was or any specifics about what our business does.

I got a call from someone talking about a charge on Amazon that was supposedly on my aunt’s account. Thing is, she doesn’t even have Amazon Prime. By the way, my aunt lives in Suffolk. Definitely sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Got a robocall just now saying I owed £35 for my Amazon Prime. The tape said if I wanted to stop it, press 1 or something like that. Very dodgy sounded to me.

Got a call from that toll-free number 0018559520541 but no one spoke on the other end. Proper strange, just complete silence.

I got a bot call saying my Amazon Prime membership was about to expire and they’d take £39.99 from my bank unless I pressed 1 to speak to someone. Thing is, I don’t even have an Amazon account. Pretty clear this is a scam trying to trick people!
