They never actually said much, just claimed they were "acting on behalf of SSE" because of some supposed takeover nonsense. For starters, the number's from offshore. Then, there’s no real takeover happening - just some hedge fund trying to profit by breaking up SSE. When I asked why they can’t just send a letter, they said, “we have to speak on the phone first.” Yeah, sure. We ended the call right there. Who on earth would phone every single shareholder one by one? If it smells dodgy and sounds dodgy, it likely is.
