I just left it, didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number.

Got a recorded call supposedly from a computer saying my internet was hacked and would be cut off in a day. They asked me to press 1 for details. Nah, no way. Might be an old trick but I’m not gullible enough. Still, I worry that older folks might fall for it.

In this day and age, with all the technology we have - I mean, we’ve managed to land people on the moon, right? - it’s beyond me why they can’t just track down and halt these annoying calls coming from overseas!

I got a strange call from a robotic voice saying it was Ofcom, telling me my internet would be cut off due to some dodgy activity linked to my IP. It asked me to press 1 to get through to BT. Yeah, as if! I only answered because I work in services and needed to check, but if I saw that weird number on the screen without that, I’d definitely have ignored it.

got a call saying it was 'ofcom' threatening to cut my internet off because of some hacking thing. how did they even get hold of my number? if i can block that number myself, why can’t bt do something about it? so annoying!

They told me they’d ring back at 6pm since the person responsible for the bill wasn’t around. Claimed my internet had been compromised from California - I just blocked the number.

Got loads of calls from the same number, never left a message and just kept ringing over and over. Proper annoying!

I picked up the phone but there was just silence on the other end.
