My mum, she's 71, got a call from this bloke, Sam Patel, who scared her by saying her computer was full of POM hackers. Then he tried to push some lifetime Norton deal on her. Totally feels like a scam to me.

So, I’m David Samuel. When I was renewing my prescription, I got this weird Norton error pop-up. I reached out through their website and said I’d take a call back. Then the tech chap rang and after a bit, he started pushing me to buy extra protection. Things got fishy when he insisted I had malware and tried “proving” it. Even though I questioned him, he had some answers ready. In the end, I figured it was a scam and we just ended the call.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Sandy Lancaster out of Indiana. He said he was gonna help me figure out why McAfee wasn't downloading. Didn’t warn me he was about to take over my PC remotely, just told me to enter some code. Next thing I knew, he was poking around on my laptop. He started going on about unknown people being on my network and said I had to pay up for extra security. When I questioned him, he rudely told me to be quiet and just ended the call. Watch out for this sort of scam, it’s proper dodgy.

I got a call about setting up some McAfee antivirus and they somehow got remote access to my PC. Then they started saying my router wasn’t suitable or something like that. When I questioned them, they just ended the call abruptly. Definitely a scam, watch out!

I got a call from 1(812)359-0038 about my McAfee key not functioning. The guy on the phone said his name was Sandy Lancaster. He had a strong Indian accent and it sounded like he was on the move, maybe driving. He asked to remotely access my PC and all the files on it. As soon as he gave his name, I got suspicious and refused to let him in. I told him it didn’t seem legit and thanked him, but then he went completely silent.

I got a call from someone pretending to be McAfee saying my computer had a virus. Turned out it was a total scam! Avoid these fake virus alerts at all costs, they just want your money.
