I gave them a ring, but when I picked up, there was silence on the other end.

I just ignored it cause I'm getting loads of spoof calls lately and usually I can tell if someone's really trying to get in touch. If it was legit, they'd ring again or at least drop a voicemail.

I've been getting several calls from numbers I don't recognise, and since I was unfamiliar with them, I opted not to pick up. They didn’t bother leaving a message, so they’ve just piled up in the 'missed calls' section. One such number that rang me yesterday, Friday 26th May 18 at 10:35, is 0018052223517, and it seems they've been particularly persistent today, Saturday 26th May at 13:22 and again at 17:16. Interestingly, all the details for the calls I got today seem to have disappeared as soon as I tried to look them up. I'm starting to think these might be coming from some automated system that’s cycling through numbers to see which ones get answered, just so they can bombard those that do with incessant cold calls.
