Some rude bloke from overseas called me, proper thick as well. He started asking me stuff but I told him to wait, said I’ve got a pot of pig’s blood bubbling away and I drink a mug of it every day, so I’m not about to waste it. Next thing, he just drops the call on me! No clue why though, lol, bit daft really!

Today I got a ring from this number but didn’t pick up. What’s odd is that a couple of days back on 27/7/16, I also got a call from them, but that time the number had an extra zero at the start. When I ignored their so-called ‘survey’, the caller said I'd get d## the following day - which was actually yesterday. Definitely not a pleasant experience, and I can see how a lot of folks would find that quite upsetting.

Since my stepmum sadly passed away not long ago, I’ve been living with my dad as he’s been struggling with his grief. Every day we get about four or five calls from this number, with someone claiming to be from a company called Perfect Benefit. They keep asking for my stepmum, despite me repeatedly telling them she’s no longer with us. It’s causing my dad a lot of upset ‘cos he keeps picking up, hoping it’s her, only to be disappointed again. When I explained this to one of the callers, they actually called me rude and said they would keep bothering us unless I cooperated. It’s utterly horrible the way they’re harassing us through our time of loss.

At present, I'm residing with my father since my stepmother tragically passed away not long ago, and, understandably, he’s in a state of mourning. We’ve been inundated with four or five calls daily from a firm operating under the name Perfect Benefit. What’s more frustrating is that they incessantly request to speak with my stepmother! I’ve communicated countless times that she is no longer with us, and their relentless calls are causing my father significant distress, as he keeps receiving these calls asking for his wife. During my most recent conversation with them, I was met with rudeness and told that unless I complied with their inquiries, the harassment would persist. Absolutely unacceptable!

This bloke said his name was John but I reckon he was more like Ali. I told him my name and said I don’t entertain random calls from strangers. Then the idiot threatened that he’d keep ringing if I didn’t answer. I just hung up and blocked the number. Now I’ve got a blaring whistle by the phone ready for when the nuisance changes numbers and tries again.

If I see a number on my phone i don’t know, i just ignore the call most times. then later i ring 1471 to check who called and look them up on google. If it turns out to be someone i know or whos important, i’ll give them a bell back. I do this cos sometimes answering could cost u money even if u just pick up.

I just went through the other comments here and yep, we're dealing with exactly the same issue. We shifted into our new place about half a year ago, and since then, I’d guess we’ve had roughly 80 calls like this. I even got in touch with the folks who lived here before us and turns out, they went through the same thing! The callers are always hunting for a Mr Ross Clark. If only I had his phone number, I’d have no problem passing it on to them! :)

What a relentless chap! I had clearly stated I wasn't going to divulge any information, yet he pressed on, insisting and then abruptly ended the call. To my surprise, he called back, and when I questioned him about the last hang-up, he refused to respond. Naturally, I hung up again. But he wouldn’t let it go and called a third time! This time, I lost my patience and gave him a proper earful. So far, nothing has come of it.

This morning, I got a call from a guy who sounded asian, said he was from the company I use to insure my sky boxes. He claimed they could cut my premium by £2 every month if I gave them my bank details. I just ended the call straight away. Be careful if you get a call like this!

This isn’t a number that actually rings through. It’s just scammers using it to mask their International calls, making it look like a proper number. The number 0018052015 caught my eye - if you strip off the 00, you get 18052015, which matches a date: May 18th, 2015. They’re clever trying to trick us, but not clever enough. These scam calls come from random numbers you can’t call back. They swap the numbers around, but it’s always the same scam. They want your cash, plain and simple. I bet they’ve already switched to a new number by now. When I refused to confirm any personal info, the woman on the line asked if I had any illness, then just hung up. No doubt they’ll try again tomorrow, but I’ve already blocked that number for good.

This was after a previous ring from a bloke with what sounded like an Indian accent, asking for my husband by name. I didn’t say a word and just let the phone hang, keeping the radio blasting nearby. Someone rang up pretending to be from British Gas, saying they’d started a new call centre in Manila. They claimed I owed £898.32 and demanded my credit card details, threatening that if I didn’t pay, ‘men’ would come round to confiscate my belongings - even mentioning the family dog! I told the caller they’d got the wrong person and that I'd report them to both British Gas and the police. If you get a call like this, just hang up - they’re scammers after your card info. Honestly, the UK government needs to do something to crack down on these fraudsters.
