Maybe he's just a clueless Yank, not expecting the smarts of us Brits. Honestly, most Americans seem a bit daft - no humour like ours, can’t even spell “colour” properly, and always make themselves look a bit silly. This one bloke was loud mouthed and had this annoying voice, asking if we all speak English in the UK. I just had to tell him, “No, not everyone - there’s French, Spanish, Australian, and Canadian too!” Pretty sure he’ll never catch on.

I got three calls today at 3pm, 4.06pm and again around 7:07pm from the same number. I reported it to a call blocking service and since then no more calls have come through. Definitely blocked the number now.

Funny thing is, I saw some earlier posts here about Tesco doing surveys, and I too said I’m happy to take part. Then about two hours later, I got a call from an American phone number but didn’t pick up. Bit odd, right?

I've got a Call Guardian on my phone and honestly, it's been a game-changer. The weirdest thing is the phone never actually rings anymore because before it can, the caller has to announce who they are to the service. Scammers obviously can't be bothered with that and just hang up. So, my phone stays quiet, and the only hint I get is the number popping up afterwards. If there's no voicemail, I figure it was probably a dodgy call anyway. Best purchase for peace of mind, really!

I hardly ever pick up my landline since only people I know well tend to ring me. Instead, I always check who’s calling first. In my experience, if it was something important, they'd leave a voicemail. Out of all the unknown numbers that have tried to get in touch, not one has bothered leaving a message. To me, that says quite a bit about why they’re calling. So, I’d say there’s definitely some risk in answering these calls.

I got a call from this number and it was one of those Tesco surveys asking about my last visit. I tried to give a score three different times on the initial question but it just wouldn’t accept it and then the call dropped. When I dialled back, a recorded message said the number’s no longer working. Bit strange really!
