We had a couple of calls on our 0870 number the other day while we were out and about, but alas, no messages were left on the answering machine. On the bright side, every time someone calls our 0870 number, we get a small discount on the charges!

This evening, that particular number called our 0870 line four times (the initial call came in at 15:14:40, with the final one arriving at 16:25:06). Unfortunately, we weren't available to answer, and not a single message was left on our voicemail throughout the entire endeavour. (For context, my 0870 number is a FleXtel number, which we can redirect to any landline. FleXtel sends us an email alert every time someone dials that number, detailing the caller's number and the time of the call.)

We’ve received a few calls from this number and decided to look it up to uncover the identity behind the persistent ringing. Unfortunately, no name popped up, but after answering their next call, it turned out to be Intuit on the line. They’re the folks responsible for QuickBooks, that accounting software we recently upgraded to - though that was a bit of a forced decision, but that's a tale for another day! It seems they were trying to pitch us their monthly technical support plan.
