Like many folks here, I think it’s just another scammer ringing.

Some people called claiming to be from "BT Technical Services", but it was obvious a scam - BT never use that name. The recorded message warned me my BT broadband was about to get cut off (which makes no sense as I don't even have BT broadband). They said to press 1 or 2 to renew or keep my service going. I just ignored it and said nothing, and after a bit the call dropped on its own.
